Tomorrow, I am embarking on yet another business trip, and as it is a “longish” one and involving travel to another country, I am a little hyper-anxious.

OK, so confession time: I am going on a pretty big trip in a few days – and as of this moment, I have no acceptable luggage.
I have several smaller carry-on type bags, but my “major” luggage is all damaged from recent trips and really isn’t appropriate for a press trip to a tropical getaway.

I had the flight from hell yesterday.
It was actually two (perhaps 2.5) flights from hell.
It started out with leaving my Long Beach hotel at 6 am to catch an 8:15 am flight – only to discover it was overbooked, and almost be bumped. I then arrive for my connecting flight – in Chicago – with ten minutes to get to my next flight in time for boarding. (Of course, this said being O’Hare airport is a small city.)

There once was a time when I liked black luggage. I was under the impression that it was sophisticated. Well, it was also boring! And try spotting your luggage as it was dropping down onto the carousal at the airport.
