The Art of Doing Nothing: Simple Ways to Make Time for Yourself
On a day like today, doing nothing just might take your mind off winter. It’s funny how you are drawn to particular books on your shelf. I was looking for a bit of inspiration today that I just happened to notice it sitting there. Doing nothing is not an easy thing to do for me, so I think that this afternoon, I’m going to fill the tub with hot warm water, crumble in a bit of Karma Bubble Bar Bubble Bar by LUSH and start thumbing through this book. …read more

And yes, I’ve already seen it… ages ago, but now I have my own copy to watch whenever the urge hits. And besides, by bookshelves have some empty spaces to fill up.

I think that I inherited my love of movies from my mother. Actually, she just downsized from a house to an apartment a few months ago and gave away zillions of items that she had collected over the years… but not her movies. They are taking up one entire wall and she said that her bedroom is now overflowing with them.
Seems like I take after my Mom. I will buy movies and then put them away until the perfect time and then I will lose myself in the story. That’s how it is with Gone with the Wind. It’s one …read more

Any X-File lovers out there?? It’s been off the air for a while now, so I think that I could start the series all over again and thoroughly enjoy it!!
And even more interesting (at least to me) is the fact that it was shot just a few miles from where my in-laws live. Why am I never in the right place at the right time??

I don’t know how it works, but this chair sounds pretty cool.
“Have you ever felt the exhilaration of a high-speed car chase? Do you know what it feels like to be chased down by a pack of hungry tyrannosaurs? Or, have you ever wondered what it’s like to fly through the air like a young wizard on a broomstick?”
And just in case you are wondering, it is programmed to work with 515 different movies. Give me some popcorn and I might be there a long, long time.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding
Yes, Britt is right about one thing. I do like to have my own library of movies. I hate having to stop what I’m doing to watch a movie when it doesn’t suit me. I want my movies when I’m in the mood or not at all.
Yes, over the years I have developed an attitude. I like things my way and I’m sure that Britt will be just like me in the future. She will never admit it, but she’s more like me than she cares to admit… except when it comes to shopping. But back to my video.

Another Way to Waste Money

Correct me if I’m wrong, but who here thinks buying movies is the biggest waste of money out there? It’s bad enough they charge an arm and a leg to see the thing in the theater, but then they expect you to pay upwards of $30 to have the privilege of owning the thing. My mom loves to buy movies, so she can watch them ‘any time she wants’. ‘Any time’ comes once every 6 months or so, 90% of the movies she’s bought are still wrapped in plastic. I guess having the original packaging still in tacked, might make …read more
