Kate Spade Sale Alert!

Nothing brightens up a cloudy morning like a gorgeous new handbag.
Kate Spade, who I don’t normally see having sales, is having a pretty great coupon code right now.
Right now, all handbags are 25% off if you go to her web site, and use coupon code GLAMBAG. Also, shipping is free!
As I have just allowed myself a browse – in the name of research alone, I assure you, I am fabulously smitten with the Coney Island Lilia bag. It’s cotton candy colored – to reflect the cotton candy at the Coney Island boardwalk – which I grew up within walking distance …read more

Nancy Rose’s Diana Blouse

A look inside my closet will show you that EVERYTHING I own, with few exceptions, is either gray, pink, or black.
Doing so may show a lack of variety on my part, but it also is great for mix and matching various wardrobe items.
That said, the pieces I do have are fabulous, and well-coveted items – and something I shall be adding to my closet today was this Nancy Rose Diana Blouse – currently on sale on ideeli for $29! (Regulary $216)
The Nancy Rose sample sale is going on right now, with tons of dresses and tops marked down more than …read more

The Colors of the Sunrise

It appears that this summer, summer is working its way into the fashion trends.
Whether it’s pinks, oranges, or yellows, everyone is wearing colors of the sunrise!
This Raviya Summer Dress in pink from Francesca’s Closet is adorable, with decorative eyelets and little pockets – and PINK. This is, obviously, my favorite part of the sunrise trend.
The colors of the sunrise are a great way to “wake up” to a new season in a bright, colorful (and, OK, my favorite color) sort of way.
If you want to interject the sunrise into just a piece of your outfit, consider the Beach Escape Skirt …read more

Pretty in Pink…But I Have a Problem

The following is a very sad story.
Remember, earlier this week when I found a BB Dakota dress I had to have…and they were sold out in my size everywhere?
Well, I found a different one I like…and it’s sold out in my size too!!!
How adorable is this, anyway? It’s the Strawberry Pink Meyers Dress, also from BB Dakota, is flirty and retro and adorably chic in a summer sheath style. The color is pink textured cotton, something of a strawberry shade, and it looks absolutely darling right down to the single overscaled bow.
Did I mention I love bows? Cause I do.
So, …read more

Sexy Single Pink Sheath Top

I’ve always had mixed feelings about smocked tops – wear them the wrong way, or on the wrong person, and you may look like you swallowed an entire cake in a single sitting.
That said, the Single Broomstick Top, a crinkled tank with knot twisted straps and v-neckline and smocking under an empire waist has this great asymmetrical smocking effect that really truly works. It’s a great choice for spring – no matter what your plans are!

Hot Pink High Tops: Hello 1985!

There is a bit of a retro trend going on in the fashion world right now, and everything that was hot 30 years ago suddenly is again.
Of course, in the middle of a recession, we need to find small and key ways to embrace the trend – and I think one great way may be footwear!
Lacoste Footwear’s Observe 2 Hi style sneaker totally 80s-reminiscent, and comes in a super hot pink.
Who during that era didn’t have bright high tops??? Now imagine them with your liquid leggings…!!!

Lenora Dame on American Idol

Last week on American Idol, Megan Joy Corkrey was wearing a totally cute lucite heart bracelet.
I loved this bracelet, and had to find out more about it. It’s by Lenora Dame and retails for a very wallet-friendly $64!
I think i am most drawn to the extremely vintage feel of the lucite, which is suspended from a gold ox bracelet chain.
Honestly, the most pleasure I’ve gotten out of American Idol in several seasons!

Nantucket Jacket from DownEast Basics

After a flight that will go down in the annals of annoyance, I am finally home – and going through some of my favorite new acquisitions.
I LOVE the Nantucket Jacket from DownEast Basics. It’s shown here in blue, but also comes in a very fetching pink – and retails for around $30!
My favorite element is that ruffled Mandarin collar – fine details like that will dress up even your drabbest jeans and sneakers days, and make you pop for fall!
The material is a cotton/terry mix, which is nontraditional in a jacket for me, but gives it a warm, cozy feel …read more

Compute with I-heart-the-80s glee

To know me is to know that two of my great loves are my deliciously girlie pink and black new-wave-esque apartment and my treasured black MacBook, iZac.
How awesome when I get to combine the two! From RoomItUp, check out my new 80’s Dot Lap Desk – it’s everything a workaholic at-home writer could ever want, right down to the built-in cupholder and lap cushion. I use it while sitting on my bed, sitting in cars, everywhere – and, it doesn’t hurt that it perfectly complements my decor.
The site has tons of other designs, just in case you aren’t the same …read more

Proof of a Higher Being: Pink Cowgirl Boots!

I have several obsessions, stylistically. Among them are boots and all things pink. Thus, an eventual convergence was pretty much inevitable.
Behold what I have started to lovingly refer to as “totally adorable pink cowgirl boots” but are actually Tony Lama boots in antique tan full quill vintage ostrich.
Am I totally comfortable with the ostrich part? I rest easy knowing that the poor feathered friend will not die in vain…and will be thought of often as I sashay around town. Furthermore, what other way can an East Coast girl such as myself show her patriotism than by wearing such distinctly western …read more
