I’m not normally a hat person – but I also don’t like getting my hair wet, and never remember to bring my umbrella anywhere.
Due to all of these factors – and the ensuing April showers – I realized it was time to get some cute hats.
My newest acquisition?
The York Hat, from the Wallaroo Hat Company. It’s made of nylon and has a angled brim to keep the rain off your face and will prevent your make up for smearing. And the nylon won’t make your sweat either (which is so not the attractive look I am going for.)

Not that I’m remotely a fan of rain, but if you must experience it you may as well be well-accessorized!
Check out these adorable rain boots I’ve discovered!
They are Tamara Henriques’ preciously cute country floral wellies, and sell for $118 Olive and Bette’s – colorfully printed and florally fabulous (say that five times fast), they sort of put the spring back in your step – no matter how putrid the weather!
It won’t do anything for your hair, though. (Sorry!)

I HATE Rain

Like, a lot.
Not only does it wreak havoc with my hair, but it tends to make even the cutest outfit…not so much.
Honestly, does anyone look cute when donning a plastic-looking jacket and an umbrella?
Well, maybe.

Rain, rain, go away (but this jacket can stay)

I live in perpetual fear of rain: I have naturally curly hair that I wear straight, and the slightest drizzle will lead to fearful frizz.
And thus, I am flabbergasted at the amount of rain coats that exist out there without a hood! Like, why bother??? I honestly don’t care if my SHOULDERS get wet.
And then, if it actually has a hood, it very often resembles a trash-bag. In the shape of a coat. Is it SO much to ask to have a rain coat that’s…cute???
