Nothing can pull me out of the doldrums of malaise like the words “80% off sale.”
Today only, if you go to ShoeSteal.com you’ll find tons of styles up to 80% off.
This is stuff for men, women, kids, anyone with feet – by some of our favorite brands!
For instance, the Sam Edelman Nat Linen Python sandals pictured? They are usually $99.99 on the site – already a great buy – but are right now $25! Yes, $25!
I’ve spent more than that on happy hour. Before my first bathroom break.
But don’t forget, sale is today only, so don’t delay!

Have I mentioned lately I LIVE for comfy shoes?
I’m just not one of those girls who comfortably runs down subway steps in stilettos. I’d love to be, but until then, I’m going to find as many ways to “cheat” as possible.
Right now, one of my fave sites for bargain footwear, 6pm.com, is having a sale on Clarks – all week long, you can choose from over 125 styles including pumps, flats, sandals and more – for up to 70% off.
Check out the Apple Jane style at left. Cute, right? They are usually around $100, but during the sale are …read more

I am in love with th new Nine West Vintage America collection – so much that I wanted to learn more about all things trend, styles, and Nine West. So, I had a chat with Fred Allard, their creative director – and I learned so much that I just needed to share here!
What do you see as some of the big trends for fall?
I love rich colors like purples and reds in suedes and textures. A great boot is a necessity. The thigh high boot is ultra sexy and there are many versions, so there are more wearable …read more

My favorite part about the cooling weather is getting to wear my sexiest tall boots, and according to Erin Conroy at Brown Shoe, boots are bigger than ever this season.
“Designers are offering boots on every heel height from flat/riding to stacked heels to stilettos, in both leathers and suedes with details like ruching or slouching to add interest. At Via Spiga, heights range from over the knee boots that can be folded over for women who want a below the knee option, to short booties with softly puddled leather around the ankle, so women can express their individual style. …read more

Imagine a shoe of the month club??? Who wouldn’t want a membership?
Well, not that far off, ShoeDazzle is a monthly online shoe society that pairs each member with a site stylists and selects shoes based on the members personal style (as determined by the site’s “fashion sensibility” questionnaire.) Socialite Kim Kardashian is behind the magic of ShoeDazzle.com, and it really is a magical idea!

I can’t.
In fact, I’m always the only editor who shows up at posh events in cute – but flat – sandals.
It’s essentially because when I do attempt my sexy stilettos – of which I have a collection – I fall flat on my face! This is not sexy. Not sexy at all.
Modelina.com recently posted a video giving a step-by-step tutorial on walking in heels – it’s a must-check-out! In this video, Anastassia Khozissova, a super model and a muse of Ralph Lauren, hosts high heel boot camp!
In summary, the video will give a few key tips:

The Cut-Out Bootie

Cut-out booties have been around for a few seasons, but they are still big in summer and fall ‘09.
I honestly feel a little weird in them, but they look positively fierce when worn right! (i.e. by someone who DOES know how to walk in heels.)
I would try to funk up jeans and a corset-type top, or really be wild and wear with a skirt and colored tights for a colorblock effect.
They can be sexy chic with a LBD, but also worn with your casual denim, it really is that versatile.
Check out these Qupid Luxe Hyde Oxford booties from Urban Original …read more

The recession has us all riled up – and the best way to survive is to make what we do own last as well (and long) as possible.
So how do we make our old shoes like new? Marty Stevens-Heebner, author of Altered Shoes: A Step-by-Step Guide to Making Your Footwear Fabulous offered some fun tips.

If this month wasn’t hectic enough, I have just been presented with a fabulous opportunity for a new apartment – but it means I am moving in about three weeks!!!
I am woefully unprepared – but I do know the secret to success is maximizing time and space.
A great find I’ve come across to store everything from your shoes to your scarves is this Shoes Under from Telebrands.
It is very compact – yet contains twelve pockets keep shoes and other items neatly organized – and it’s clear on top, so you know exactly what is where!
