One of my favorite movies of the year was Confessions of a Shopaholic - the story of a flat-broke fashion junkie who writes a column on budgetting.

(Gee, I wonder why I’m a fan???)

This movie is beyond self-referential, it’s hilarious and cool, and I think everyone I know who saw it got a kick out of it.
Like, the all-important scarf.
Or the temple of shopping.

This movie is based on Sophie Kinsella’s best selling novels of the same name, about a fashion-loving New Yorker writer who trades frocks for finance and finds love! (Well, with a little drama in between.)

Paris Hilton Never Wears Anything Twice

Wouldn’t that be nice!! The top that I’m wearing at the moment, I don’t even remember when I bought it… honest!! I simply like the color and the pants I’m wearing, I bought in the summer. Paris would never do that. At the moment , she is bundling up oodles and oodles of outfits and shoes for charity so she… can go out and buy more. While I’m sure that the children’s charities love it, I have a feeling that Paris just likes to shop lol…

As for what she is wearing… not too keen on that particular dress, her shoes (which you can’t see) will be perfect for anyone with size 9, 10 or 11 feet. (Not quite sure what her size is). I do like her shorter hair though. That really works for her!!

I have decided that it’s time to dump all of my old brushes… okay, the ones that are really old. If I can’t remember when I bought them and the hairs are falling out, I think it’s time. I was looking around Barneys and noticed this brush. It looks very well made and I am just a little sick of picking the bristles off my face. Yes, I think that it’s time!

How To Have a Successful Day of Shopping

Your Project for the Day

I’m going to send you on your first field trip and I want to warn you now. This project requires a lot from you. I’m sending you to the most exclusive mall in your area and you are going to people watch.

Grab a coffee and then settle yourself down in the most comfortable sofa you can find. If the malls that I frequent don’t offer comfy sofas to people watch, then they aren’t worth my time. As shopaholics, we need to be catered to!

Now, I want you to pay close attention to what the shoppers (with your body shape) are wearing. Take notes if you have to, but look for items that you think would look good on you. Once you have some ideas… head for the stores and start trying things on!

You will be amazed at the little tricks you can pick up simply by keeping your eyes open!
