MY Project Runway!

I believe just about all of us shopaholics have a fascination with Project Runway. So, imagine my excitement when I went to a media breakfast sponsored by Secret Deordorant – and discovered the special guest host was Korto, one of my favorite contestants from last season!

I can’t get into the contents of the event – it’s super exciting info that’s under embargo till spring – but I can tell you about the fun part! Korto led all of us in creating our very own t-shirts/tanks using random beads and feathers. (It was very much like the show!) Then, at the end, Korto chose her favorite design and that person won a necklace hand made by her!

Guess who won…

My design was flapper-inspired and involved consecutive rows of fringe upon a black background. It’s super sexy for any late night shimmy!

I’m the Beauty & Style Channel Editor, among other things, here at b5media. And I look forward to sharing my shopping tips, suggestions and other ideas with all the rest of the shopaholics out there. Curling Up With a Good Book

Monday’s What I’m Wanting – Stila Lip Glaze

Today’s the day I get to pick what I want… for no good reason and today, it’s this lip glaze by Stila .

This time, I actually need this lip glaze as I somehow lost the tube that I bought a couple of months ago. I don’t even want to think about all the tubes of glosses and lipsticks that I have lost over the years. One minute it’s in my handbag and then… poof, it’s gone. So yes, I want this lip glaze in fruit punch. Just enough color to turn head, but not enough to look dry. In a word, it’s perfect for summer.

It has been the oddest winter so far and as much as I wish it were true, I don’t think that it’s over quite yet. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t get out and enjoy what winter has to offer. Just bundle up, slip these onto the bottom of your boots and go for that daily walk. No worries about falling… been there and done that in my own driveway!

Beauty Magazine Subscriptions…

Collecting the mail is kind of boring if there is nothing other than bills waiting for you. That’s why I have become such a magazine subscription junky. I admit it! But it saves me from picking up other items at the store on impulse. So, it’s definitely a win-win situation. I’m saving money but getting what I want at the same time.
