OMG, you guys! Check out just a few of the amazing colors from OPI’s France Collection for fall. Are they not gorgeous? Just wait til you see the whole collection and read the story behind the trend (and wait til you see the extra cool names the colors have!)

For the record, as much as I love Sally Hansen as a drugstore brand, I have absolutely no problem spending a little extra cash on OPI salon nail colors. No problem at all. The colors are rich and fabulous, and most of them are so unique, you’re hard-pressed to find them in any of the drugstore brands. OPI is definitely a splurge well worth sacrificing a latte for!

Hot trend alert: Menswear vests!

Menswear vests are everywhere for fall. They come in tons of different styles and several different colors. They’re being shown with skinny jeans, skirts and trousers. With heels, flats and even sneaks.

Stalker Tee from Cafe Press, $16

Okay, I saw this tee in a mag the other day and totally had to share. Isn’t it a crack up? I absolutely split a gut every time I see it.

And for only $16, it will definitely be finding a home in my closet.

Sally Hansen Fuchsia Bling Bling

Don’t you just love when you find the perfect nail shade? Gawd, me too! So when I discovered Sally Hansen’s Diamond Strength No Chip Nail Color in Fuchsia Bling Bling, I nearly flipped through the aisles at Target. But then that would’ve been a little weird, so I just threw it in the cart instead.

Anyhoo, I totally *heart* this color. I usually save bright colors just for my toes and stick to pale colors on my fingers since my hands and fingernails take a real beating in the summer. But this color is so much fun and is so energizing that I may just have to treat my fingers to a little fun as well.

Now, if you haven’t tried the Diamond Strength line yet, I definitely urge you to do so. It’s truly my favorite of all drugstore nail lines. Usually only one even coat will do, saving you both time and product. It goes on easy, stays shiny and fresh for a while, comes in a million different shades, and is available for around $4 at drugstores and chains nationwide. Truly, a fantastic line for the money.

On the hunt for a cute summer swim suit? Check out the sale Kohl’s has going on their swim separates right now. Originally $28, these pieces are now only $16.80, meaning you can pick up a really sweet suit on the cheap.

I love this one’s bright colors and swirly pattern, but they also have everything from stripes to color blocks to dots and more. Great stuff!

Espadrilles continue to be hot this season, and heavens knows there is no shortage of adorable styles. But, unfortunately, when you’re on a budget, a big portion of those style options disappear. So where can you go to find this great summer look on the cheap?

Payless, of course!

Check out these darling plaid espadrilles with braided heel. All I can think of (besides sorbet!) is how cute these would look with a white sundress or khaki shorts and layered tanks. They also come in pink, which would be perfect with a denim mini and babydoll cami. Sweet!

Alison Creek Sundress from Hollister, $59.50

Hey guys, if you only buy one sundress this summer (yeah, right!) make it this one. It’s the Aliso Creek dress from Hollister and it just screams breezy summer chic. And with the classic navy and white color scheme paired with the tropical floral print and fun details, you simply can’t go wrong.

Now, at first, the price of this baby freaked me out a little. $59.50 seemed a little steep for a sundress, for crying out loud. But then I thought of all the places you could wear this, (i.e., on date night, to luau parties, by the pool, out shopping, to a clambake, to a casual outdoor wedding, etc, etc.), and suddenly the price looked like a steal. Seriously, you could wear this thing anywhere and everywhere from the beginning of summer all the way through orientation at the end of summer. It’s that versatile.

Pair it with long layered necklaces and wedges or flip flops and a dainty chain with a starfish charm on it. Wear your hair in a twist or wear it tousled and beachy. Dare to go bare on your shoulders, or cover up with a cropped cardy or a wrap. However you wear this sundress, you will steal the show, for sure.

And isn’t that the goal this summer? Thought so!

How to? Easy! Think backwards.

That’s right. Instead of applying your blush as the last step of your facial makeup routine, try smoothing on a cheek stain first, allowing it to sink into the skin for about a minute or so, then applying a sheer foundation over top. What you’ll get is a natural, rosy color shining through.
