Happy Thanksgiving!
Today is a holiday – the banks are closed, my local coffee shop is closed, the post office is closed.
And yet…shopping abounds everywhere, especially online. In fact, Black Friday/Cyber Monday seems to be starting perpetually earlier each year. And I’m excited about it…who has any excuse to procrastinate when amazing deals are everywhere?
First of all, a special alert: RueLaLa is having a special Thanksgiving boutique that starts at 7 p.m. tonight! Don’t miss it!

Nine West Black Friday Sales!

The sales keep on coming!
Look what’s happening at Nine West this Friday:
Beginning at 5am online , the Bonfire, Polen, Husky and Mezmorize styles will be 50% off until 11am. After 11am, the styles will still be 30% off!
Behold how cute they are…how can you NOT be tripping over yourself getting your fix?
Also pretty sweet is the Nine West partnership with St Jude Children’s Research Hospital -  if you donate $1 or more in store or at NineWest.com, you’ll receive a coupon for 20% off your next purchase in January. It’s suddenly more economical to give charity than not to!

Azzaro Enchantment Suede Boots

It’s rather amazing what a gorgeous pair of shoes can do for your ego! It happened last Sunday, which just happened to be our Thanksgiving. I had taken off my heels and slipped into a pair of ballerina slippers for the afternoon, but when I slipped the heels back on to leave, EVERYONE noticed! I think that these suede boots would have the same affect… or even more so! Just check out those crystal embellished heels. Now if those don’t grab everyone’s attention, I don’t know what it would take!! ($2,135 at Net-a-Porter)

Dressing Up Your Holiday Table

I don’t know if anyone collects salt and pepper shakers any more, but it could be the start of a retro thing… but they would look kind of cute on the Thanksgiving table this year!

Are you hungry??

I’m going to have to write to somebody about this Thanksgiving thing. I live further south than a lot of the American States, but we don’t get to celebrate Thanksgiving today. We celebrated it in early October and now all I can think about is turkey, chestnut stuffing, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. I want our country to give us two Thanksgivings… one in October and another one at the end of November. Works for me! And shopping tomorrow. Doesn’t get much better than that!
So, as envious as I am… have yourself a great day!!

Decorating the Table for Thanksgiving

I don’t know why I never thought of this earlier, but wouldn’t your table look just a bit more finished if you had Thanksgiving napkin rings?? We have rings that we bring out for Christmas and I have been doing it for years, but it never crossed my mind to do the same for Thanksgiving. So what kind of napkins do you use??
My daugher stocked up on five different colors of napkins right after Christmas one year. I don’t know what the fabric is, but they have this luxurious sheen to them and one just happens to be a …read more
