The Most Annoying Alarm Clock

I don’t know anyone who really likes mornings and the sound of the alarm ringing is never a welcome sound. Well, lets just make that ring a little more annoying. With this clock, you get one chance to turn it off and then it jumps off the nightstand and you have to go after it, to shut it off.

I have a feeling that more than one of these clocks have gone through windows. But it would make a great gift for that special someone in your life… a teen maybe, or perhaps a the perfect Mothers or Father’s day present lol…

Lush… Everything

I discovered Lush several years ago in Vancouver, British Columbia. We were visiting my in-laws and since I had a mother-in-law who could shop me under the table, she introduced me to some amazing products. So, I have her to thank for my love of all things… Lush!!

But it seems that there are a lot of women just like her. I found a (too tiny) Lush store at The Eaton’s Center and while Britt people-watched, I gathered up a few goodies and stood in line to pay for them. The woman ahead of me loved their soaps and her total came to well over $100.00 for (I admit) several bars of soap. One in particular caught my eye… probably because it was sooooo red.

It’s called Karma Handmade Soap by LUSH and it’s a lot redder than what you are seeing . I’ve never tried it, but she had three huge pieces of the stuff, so it has to be good. It’s going on my list for my next trip.

I picked up the following… really fast because Britt was getting tired of waiting. You have to admit, the strong scent can give people headaches!!

If there is anyone out there who owns a pair of feet that sweat all summer long, you are going to love this stuff. It has the most gorgeous citrusy smell!! Sure beats sweaty feet!!

And lastly, I picked up this moisturizer. All I can say is that this stuff smells heavenly… and worth every penny!! There is just something about the scent of almonds!

And I bought all of this thanks to a GIFT CARD that I received for Christmas!! Thank goodness my birthday is coming up soon. I nearly cleaned out the card! Hopefully someone will top it up for me??

Red Hatters celebrate shopping, food – True Shopaholics!!

“When members of the Red Hat Society get together, it’s like a massive tea party for women over 50.With every participant wearing a creative combination of red and purple from head to toe, it’s also a bit like a fashion show.

Around 200 Red Hatters from Illinois and surrounding states descended on Lake Storey Pavilion on Wednesday to celebrate National Red Hat Day with a luncheon and “shopping emporium” organized by the local Haw Creek Hatters and Merry Hearts.

“Shopping is the national sport of the Red Hat Society. Shopping and food,” said Peg Bivens, 53, of Knoxville, the “queen” of the Haw Creek Hatters.”

When we were in Florida over Christmas, we were browsing an outdoor shopping mall and you just couldn’t miss them. There were about a zillion “red hatters” and from the looks on their faces, having the time of their lives!

So, what if you want to join in the fun before you are fifty?? Well, these ladies are awfully nice and have no problem letting you in. BUT… you can’t wear their colors until you officially turn 50!

Fire Pits

According to my landscape design/shopaholic daughter, it won’t be long before every backyard has one of these. The latest push is to create a cottage feel to your backyard… just in case you don’t have a cottage of your own. (Like Me!!)

Now if I can find a way to get a lake in my back yard too, I won’t need the cottage now will I??

Being the shopaholic that you are lol, I’m sure that you have considered writing a book about the subject. But, what kind of book would grab the attention of the publishers?? Is there a topic that hasn’t been written about?? Well, it seems that someone came up with an idea and hit the jackpot!

“The Stray Shopping Carts of Eastern North America: A Guide to Field Identification” was named the winner Friday of the Bookseller/Diagram Prize for oddest book title.
The book, written by Buffalo, N.Y.-based artist Julian Montague and published by Harry N. Abrams, offers a mock-scientific taxonomy of the varieties of lost shopping carts, from the simply discarded to the elaborately vandalized.”

Stila Color Push Ups All Over Color

I prefer this kind of blush over the powdered varieties… it just looks more natural. I rub the color onto my fingertips and then apply to my cheeks and sort of blot it into place. Suddenly I look healthy!!

Did I ever mention the fact that I am about as pale as is possible for a brunette??
