I’ve always bought his polo shirts at OLD Navy. Or GAP. I’ve bought him striped polo shirts at Steve and Barry’s as part of his Back-To-School shopping. I’ve just bought a couple from ON actually. In light blue and white. So besides adding into another staple item which is the dress shirts, I make sure he’s got enough polo shirts as well. He can have fun with novelty shirts all he wants, but Mommy takes care of the rest, as usual .

One of the things, besides being cute, that people notice about my daughter is her glorious hair. She was born with a head full of hair. I remember laying on the labor bed and the first thing my husband told me was, “she’s got lots of hair”. Having glorious locks of course comes with problems. One major problem is tangled hair. Because she sleeps on her back, her hair pretty much gets tangled everyday.

Anyway, I have a $1 coupon for a detangling shampoo but couldn’t find the particular product the Commissary. So I’ve decided to wait ’till I go to a different store, probably Wal-Mart to look for the specific product. In the meantime, I decided to detangle my 1 yr old daughter’s hair the old-fashion way. Baby Oil and constant hair brushing.

After she took a bath, I brushed it with her baby hair brush, then applied baby oil on the tangled hair spots. They were bordering dread locks. My husband suggested cutting the tangled hair since she’s a baby so it’s grow back. But I refuse to do that. No way I am cutting my baby’s hair, leaving spots on her back. My husband gave me my own hair brush thinking it might help and it did. I just slowly and gently brushed her hair until it’s all smooth again. My baby was such a sport coz she just sat in front of me, playing with her toys. She didn’t cry because of pain or anything.

No more tangled hair. Baby Oil works like a charm.
