]]> striderite-asteroid-toddler-sneakers When school is out, as much as we just want to stay indoors and enjoy the A/C, it’s imperative that our little ones stay active. There’s a lot of study right now stating that the obesity rate among children keeps going higher and higher. With Television, surfing online, Guitar Hero, and other video games the problem is getting worse.

An hour or two wouldn’t hurt to be spent in the park, playground, at the pool, walking or even just outside your house. Run around, chase each other, enjoying the slide, swimming, walking around the neighborhood are just a few activities to enjoy during the summer. We’re going to focus on playing in the playground, walking and running around the backyard so we need some sneakers for that. A good footwear helps. Please don’t let your kids run around in flip flops. I’m not even convinced they should be on crocs either, but that’s my personal choice. I’d stick with a good pair of sneakers myself. Here are just a few examples to help your kids stay active in the park, playground or outside your house during the Summer.

Of course, don’t forget to chase your kids with a bottle of water. Drinking lots of water will help, big time :) . BTW, I’m sure these sneakers are cool for Back-To-School as well. Coz they do have Gym time  right?

Here’s the Lil Miss wearing one of the Spring/Summer outfits from JCPenny, Disney Princesses hat and Northside Sneakers. I keep forgetting to post about her sneakers. I bought it on sale for $8 at the PX(military dept store). Funny story is that the day I bought it, was also the day I ordered her new pair of Pediped. So my husband was like, “didn’t you just buy her shoes”. To which I replied, “well, this is sneakers and it’s on sale for $8″. :D
