My bestie is an associate at Victoria’s Secret, so I have more reason than ever to stop by there and browse. Still, as this is a recession, I try to curb my spending! But…not when there’s a sale. THAT is my weakness.

Right now, at the Victoria’s Secret web site, there’s a biggie of a sale. Just use coupon code FALL09, and you’ll get $15 off orders over $100, $30 off orders over $150, $75 off orders over $250, or $150 off orders over $500. The coupon expires 09/17/2009. This is good for everything, from panties to PJs to pashminas. (OK, I lied. They don’t sell pashminas. But they do sell lots of cute pink (and PINK) stuff.

A Very Ugg-ly Holiday

How do you feel about Uggs? For years their glamour and appeal has been disputed – some love the shearling clot-hoppers, others cringe every time they come within a stone’s throw of an Ugg product of any type. Me? Well, I’m surprised to hear myself say this, but I am slowly warming to them. Why? Well, because they’re getting less…ugly. The styles are actually something I can picture myself trudging through winter in. Gasp! I know, right?

In my opinion, one of the best Ugg product collections happens to reside within the Victoria’s Secret Christmas catalog. I love nearly every Ugg offering in there. Here, three of my top picks, though I totally love the Whitley Lace-Up Boots as well.

First up: The Ultimate Bind Boot. I love the black accented with bright colors. The ties in the back add just enough punch. And the price? At $190, a little steep, but if they last for ages, not a bad deal.

Next, this super cute Ugg Shearling Wristlet, for $78. I love wristlets and this one screams Winter Chic to me. Casual, but totally lavish. Absolutely perfect for daily use.

And finally, these gorgeous Ugg Shearling Gloves, $150. I can just feel my ice-cold hands melting into these gloves. They look so cozy, yet so elegant at the same time. Beautiful and practical, indeed.

My 5 Favorite Scents: What Are Yours?

In celebration of our Blog of the Month, The Scented Life, we are doing a Beauty & Style channel-wide round-up of our very favorite scents. This was so fun to think about, but so hard to pick the winners. Or not. Nah, not. It was pretty easy.

My #1 Absolute Favorite Perfume is (still!) Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel. A classic, youthful scent that will always, always be my fave. (I think!)

My #2 Favorite Perfume which is no longer in production (but still lives on eBay, thank Gawd!) is Basic Instinct, by Victoria’s Secret. I feel mega-sexy in that scent, so I save it for those special occasions, if you know what I mean, wink-wink.

My Favorite Summertime perfume is Moon Sparkle, by Escada. Light and fruity (but not in a gaggy way), this scent is nothing short of perfect for warm-weather wear.

My favorite household scent is the Hollyberry seasonal soap by Method from Target. Love, love, LOVE that! Can’t wait for October (or more like the end of August in the retail world) for all the holiday-scented yummies to come out.

And finally, my favorite scent of all time is the Christmas Cookie candle by Yankee. Yes, I have a huge affinity for anything that smells like food, but this candle takes the cake (cookie.) I burn these all year round (thank the candle Gods for Yankee outlets) and it leaves me feeling all warm and fuzzy, no matter the season. *sigh*

Of course, it doesn’t hurt if you look like Alessandra Ambrosio (pre-pregnancy, of course), but really, this is a complimentary style on a lot of girls. And at less than 20 bones for this cutie, it’s so worth it.

Warning: I found this in the Clearance Catalog, and stuff in there tends to move quick, so if you lurve this, order it up pronto!
