Winter Fashion Trends: Getting Started

Are you getting ready to up your wardrobe for winter? If you are, you are probably wondering exactly what is big – and what is the most important wardrobe-additions to make.
I consulted the fabulous Ann Siner, of My Sister’s Closet and realized we concur on a lot of timeless advice: i.e. responsibility is always chic. You have found your perfect coat for the coming winter… now it’s time to find the scarf that is going to give it that pop. Well, this is it. Can you imagine anything more gorgeous than this?? I certainly can’t and just wait until you see the colors available. That’s the hard part… choosing just one color. The black is gorgeous, but I also think that the cream is a very close second.

Provence French Linen Water Warm Vanilla Nougatine Spray

I will be the first to say that I HATE ironing, but spritzing each item with something that smells decadent, just might make me change my mind. I have to admit, it would be nice to pull on a blouse that is lightly scented. Warm vanilla… yes, that’s working for me right now.

Hot Pumps of the Day

And I can use all the “hot” I can get. We are supposed to get 6 inches of snow today. It was snowing when I got up, it’s still snowing and it’s not supposed to stop until tonight. Maybe these shoes can help melt some of it. There’s just something about red heels in January!

Organic Tee on Sale at Nordstrom

It seems that absolutely everyone is shipping out everything that is winter in favor of the warmer fashions. I only wish. Just not happening here, which might be a good thing when it comes to shopping! I can pick up items like this on sale and still enjoy a few good months of wear before I have to pack them away until next year.
This particular tee is made of organic cotton and has been marked from $62.00 to $39.90. I think I could live with that price. I particularly like the idea that the cotton is organic. I remember reading …read more

I don’t know about you, but after sitting on a plane for more than a few hours, I pretty much have lost all of my color. That’s why when I noticed this section at Sephora, I clicked right over to it. Each of the items are small enough that they will fit into a sandwich bag and then right into your handbag. Need a touch-up before you arrive… not a problem anymore.
Check out what Sephora has for you. I think that you are going to like it.

Hot Water Bottle for Those Cold Nights

Okay, I can’t seem to warm up my feet, but I have found that if I tuck a hot water bottle into the bottom of the bed, it makes it a lot easier to drift off in a matter of minutes and a certain someone won’t complain about how cold my feet are each night. And if I don’t get my eight hours each night, I’m just a wee bit cranky!
*The cover should help to hold the heat even longer!
