Express Winter Sale

Are you feeling the chill?
I certainly am, and it’s so well-timed for the Express Outerwear sale.
Through tomorrow, if you visit Express.com, you will save 30% on all women’s outerwear. That means finds like this awesome wool military coat for just over $100.
I love the military coat look – it’s very trendy right now, but it’s so classic as well, and the polished hardware gives it the extra pop it needs to shine.
If that’s not a great way to stay warm, I don’t know what is!

Great Delia’s Coupon Find

Great Delia’s Coupon Find

A few years ago, I lost a lot of weight – as in half of my total weight, or thereabouts – and the very first thing my friends did when I reached my goal is get me a Delia’s gift card.
Delia’s clothes are very juniors-oriented, and that makes them a limited niche opportunity for us grownups – but they are so so adorable that even now that I fit into them a little less-well, I still can’t help but look!
This week, Delia’s is having a sale: You can save $20 on your purchase of $50 or more when you apply …read more

Aeropostale: $10 off $40 Until Nov. 1

In between this weekend’s trick or treating, you may want to visit Aeropostale!
They currently have a pretty fabulous printable coupon that helps you to save $10 off any purchase totaling $40 or more.
There’s so much cuteness – like these cable knit gloves, which are just over $8 and come in tons of colors. You can stock up! (Which is great, since I lose on average of a pair a week.)
There’s also apparel, etc, for girls and boys – of all ages  – so have fun! Coupon is good through November 1.

The Art of Doing Nothing: Simple Ways to Make Time for Yourself
On a day like today, doing nothing just might take your mind off winter. It’s funny how you are drawn to particular books on your shelf. I was looking for a bit of inspiration today that I just happened to notice it sitting there. Doing nothing is not an easy thing to do for me, so I think that this afternoon, I’m going to fill the tub with hot warm water, crumble in a bit of Karma Bubble Bar Bubble Bar by LUSH and start thumbing through this book. …read more

Hot Water Bottle for Those Cold Nights

Okay, I can’t seem to warm up my feet, but I have found that if I tuck a hot water bottle into the bottom of the bed, it makes it a lot easier to drift off in a matter of minutes and a certain someone won’t complain about how cold my feet are each night. And if I don’t get my eight hours each night, I’m just a wee bit cranky!

On Today’s Shopping List… Flannel Sheets

Have you looked at the calendar?? It’s almost winter. Okay, not technically, but it is sure starting to feel that way, and when the colder weather begins to set in, I’m attracted to my books more and more. Today, a book called Simple Pleasures jumped out at me and with the number of books that I have collected over the years, when a book calls to me, I know that there has to be a reason, so of course I pulled it out and brought it back to my desk.
The book is divided into four sections… one for each season …read more

*Old Jewelry

Choose a Saturday morning and then haunt some garage sales in search of some old costume jewelry. Take home your treasures and then on some cold winter afternoon, create a new piece by re-stringing beads that have caught your eye.
