While since the topic of fireplace arose, I’d just like to lend a helpful hint to my fellow consumers about cleaning fireplaces. I found a product that makes cleaning ash and soot easy, no hassle, no mess. The AshTrap. This little tool is very cheap, and easy to use. You simply scoop up ashes into the AshTrap and the sliding door closes, and all you do is transfer it from the fireplace, to the garbage or outside (which I would recommend due to household fires).
