Top Picks in Rain Gear

I hate the rain – like with a fiery passion. It’s bad for hair, it’s bad for outfits, it’s just…gross. And I don’t understand the people who call it romantic. It’s so not!

That’s not to say I won’t be decked out to the most fully adorable level when the skies open up, and a rain coat is just the tip of the ice (rain?) burg.
Here are some of my top picks for what to wear when the skies are crying.
For my umbrella, I’m all about my hot-pink Davek traveler. First of all, it has a lifetime warrantee – which is a super-cool trait for an umbrella to have, is super compact (i.e. fits in my purse!) and it’s pink. But it comes in other colors for those of you who may not share my obsession.
When I seek rain boots, I want a style that will do its job — keeping my feet and lower-legs dry — but do so in a way that reflects my personality and is fun, wearable, and comfortable.
I found peace and love in these Chooka boots from DLL Rainwear. They aren’t just there because of the rain, I feel like they contribute to the outfit AND brighten my mood as well. Plus, they are 100% waterproof rubber with non-skid soles and removable insoles – which I suppose, is more important. (From a practical standpoint.)
What are your rainy weather faves?

As a Pacific NW gal, I ‘m more than used to the rain. I love those Davek umbrellas! Cute!
I love those boots! I usually end up leaving umbrellas at home or in the car (or losing it forever somewhere) so I’d come to terms with just getting wet. I do have a large collection of rain boots that I wear faithfully. My favorite are my plain black Wellies!
