This week, I was working on a major project, and was researching winter fashion trends pretty much 24-7. I learned a ton…including about concepts I had never really considered.

Maybe, I realized, when we embark on our winter wardrobe transition, we should also consider what it means for our jewelry collection.
According to Belle Chen, founder of 360Jewels.com, the winter fashion covers most of your body to keep you warm. We know this, but think about it: Many winter tops (like our favorite sweaters and turtlenecks) also cover your neck.
What does this mean besides keeping us warm? A great backdrop for your pendant!!!
Also, color schemes of winter fashion is normally less vibrant/ flashy. Colors like black, gray, light blue, light pink, purple, etc are common. This winter scheme of color also helps make your pendant a focus of attention.
“I also notice that people usually wear smaller pieces of rings and earrings and wear less of bracelets during winter. This makes pendant a nice and practical way to supplement accessories into your look,” Belle says.
What do you think? Do you notice yourself updating your jewelry with the season, in the same way you update the rest of your wardrobe?
