Bubble-icious?

OK, dahlings, is it just me or did this wacky-ass bubble-skirt business just get completely out of control? Check this out:

Lauren Conrad
The Hills’ Lauren Conrad

AND…

Serena Williams
Tennis Pro Serena Williams

So…WTF, right? Yeah, that’s the verdict from the Glamour Cove, as well. I truly believe that both of these chicks could hop out of a stunt plane and make it to land with only their dresses to guide them to safety. But I at least have to give Lauren props for going with an appropriate length. Serena’s is waaay too short (this ain’t a tennis match, honey. You can wear your skirts a little longer in the real world) and with the “bubble” culminating in her leg area, this actually makes her look far heavier than we know she is. Never good fashion practice to make yourself look larger, no?

So please, girlies. Strip thineselves of this bubble madness and go with a nice clean line instead. Save the bubbles for your Bazooka Joe.

P.S. To Lauren: Would you be a love and treat Serena here to a lesson on standing in a ladylike fashion? Seems as though her legs are in perpetual lunging stance. Not pretty.

Ugh. Someone pass me the Malibu, won’t you? Cheers.

Get used to the bubble dress – I see a lot of them coming out for fall. It doesn’t look THAT horrendous on Lauren. But damn, Serena … I just don’t know what to say.

She should also get that hot pink isn’t her color.

If I ever wear a bubble dress like either of these, please put me out of my misery and shoot me on sight. Why wear something that makes even skinny people look fat?

  3. Liberty says:

Hear ye, hear ye Rachel. The Snarkstress agrees (well, not about shooting you; I surely couldn’t do that). I know this is a trend as Kori says, but in my book, BUBBLE IS BAD.
