Carla Gugino’s Exploding Red Dress

Carla Gugino attended the Race To Witch Mountain premiere in Madrid, Spain wearing a red cocktail dress and a severe updo. You might almost be fooled into thinking that my main concern here is the strain on her hairline, orange tone of her skin, and odd flopping things pasted on her shoes…but that would be wrong – from the front, Carla’s ensemble is neither horrible or remarkable. It just is.

But then everyone looked a little closer and saw what was going on in the back.

It’s all so overwhelming and foofy. Yes, that is a technical word – foofy I just can’t understand why any woman would want to actively promote the size of their behind in such a silly silhouette. Carla, honey – you can do better. You have aged yourself by about 10 years here and not won yourself any points in the ’style icon’ department.

I actually LOVE and adore this look. First of all, these shoes are not just shoes with “odd flopping things pasted on them”, they’re freaking Louboutins! Freakinly beautiful Louboutins!!!

I also love the dress. It’s neither too reveilling or boring, and I don’t think it makes her bum look big. It’s interesting, in a fashionable way. Love it!

  2. Darling, even though they are Louboutins, the shoes do not go with this dress, her awful yellow tan and tightly wound updo. With that much going on along the back of her dress, more simple Louboutins would have been a smarter choice. And for that matter, why are you so certain that every pair of Louboutins is a winner? My, you are impressionable.
