John Legend Tries the Boots Over the Pants Look

I literally laughed out loud when I saw this picture of John Legend at the ‘CNN Heroes’ event. The event was held yesterday, November 22nd, at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California.
I am not quite sure what John is trying to accomplish with this ensemble. Now, Mr. Legend is definitely one of the hottest men in Hollywood (in my opinion anyway), and he usually always looks amazing. Not yesterday though. Yesterday was a total failure when it comes to clothes.
I don’t mind the color or fabric of the suit. It’s nice. I love the shiny gray suits on men. I have seen those at quite a few events lately. I don’t mind the bow tie. I think it looks good on John Legend. It’s those boots! He wore boots over his suit pants. What?! Who started that trend? Tell me now so I can track them down and shake them a bit. It’s just ugly and weird looking. That’s all there is to it.
