Julia Stiles In A Floral Flop

Been to Vegas lately, dahlings? In specific, been to Bellagio? If so, you may recognize the incredible Fiori di Como ceiling…all over Julia Stiles!
Okay, so on a ceiling, hand-blown glass flowers of every color are magnificent. On a human body…not so much. Now, I’m all about pretty summer florals, but this is TOO. MUCH. Is it the colors? The pattern? The fact that this frock is as bright as the damn red carpet? I can’t decide what’s got me most worked up, but if I could just take this dress and send it off to the great dress closet in the sky, I’d be feeling better about my Monday.
Am I being too harsh? Gee, I guess I really don’t care. But The Snarkstress would love to know your thoughts. How ’bout a Long Island to ease you into discussion. I make mine strong…

i saw this at wireimage and I knew you’ll find it eventually
i think if it was knee-length it would be kinda ok(if the carpet wasn’t that color of course). but as a long gown?? just wrong.
You’re right as usual, Snarkstress. It’s too clearance-section-in-the-sofa-store to work well as a dress.
I THINK THAT FLORAL PRINT WOULD LOOK BETTER IN A VASE NEXT TO MY SOFA.
Yanno, the more I look at this dress, the more it creeps me out. Check out those symmetrical blue blobs below “The Girls”. Don’t they look like a set of alien eyeballs? Gah! I’m not sure I’d want a sofa, minidress OR vase in this pattern.
Yikes. And double yikes. It was the blue blobs that got me too. At first I thought it was a stupid bow — but no; it’s the fabric. Lame.
