Katy Perry Shows Muppet Love

Don’t get me wrong…I am not a muppet hater. In fact, I quite love those adorable little alien creatures that prove that love and friendship can cross all boundaries of species and color (Kermie and Piggy!). But muppets have no place on a cleavage boosting party dress. Katy Perry showed up to the 2010 Ready-to-Wear Castelbajac fashion show wearing this colorful muppet print party dress. Call me fashion undereducated if you want, but I am just not impressed with Jean Charles de Castelbajac’s idea to send muppets down the runway. Did anyone else see Lady Gaga’s head-to-toe outfit created entirely out of Kermit the Frog stuffed animals??? I appreciate pop art as much as the next person, but I feel like he is messing with my childhood memories here.
And somehow I find it disconcerting that Katy Perry has been popping up at every fashion show across the globe lately, but until I see the headline listing her name I am actually unable to recognize her. Is she some sort of celebrity chameleon? What does her face really look like???
