I’m Doin’ the Katie
First it was “The Rachel”. Most recently it was “The Posh”. And now it seems the new trend about Hollywood Heads is “The Katie”.
Yes, my dahlings, it seems everyone’s favorite fashionista-in-the-making, Katie Holmes, is bringing Sexyback to forehead framers (aka bangs).
Now I’m not sure this is much improvement over Keira Knightley’s disaster from the other day (me likey the dress, but wretch over the choice of shoes), and the snarky jury’s still out over the bangs. But I give Keira props for quickly following what could be a world-sweeping hair trend in the months to come.
So what do you think, loves? Do you like the bangs on Keira? Do you think this bang trend is in it for the long haul? Do you want to sip a wine spritzer while you’re mulling it over? Uh huh, me too.
You LIKE the dress? Have you seen the back? It is absolutely hideous. I cannot comprehend how someone so picky and cynical can praise her dress.
She probably hasnt seen the back. The front actually looks pretty good to me.
I actually agree! I love the dress, THE BACK TOO! I know, I’m insane…but there’s something very ethereal about Keira that lets her pull off those fairy-like, gauzy dresses. And I love the shoes…but hate them paired with that dress. WTF, indeed. And I adore her bangs! I love The Katie, and I hope it does become more popular, because The Posh has become too boring and wide-spread.

I USUALLY LOVE THE KATIE TOO, BUT WTF IS GOING ON HERE? MAYBE ALL THE TOM WEIRDNESS IS RUBBING OFF ON HER NOW.
Julie, I love how you lavish me with praise, dahling. Picky and cynical are two of my most aspired-to traits – so happy to hear you think I already possess them.
As for the dress, no, I actually haven’t seen the back. I’ll have to go check it out. I DO totally dig the front. And I agree, Lola, Keira does have an ethereal quality about her that allows her to pull stuff off that other broads just can’t. The shoes, however, are so, so wrong!
As for the ‘do…today I got my snarky strands tended to. And guess which hairdo my stylist had? Yep, “The Posh”. I love it, but I’m already over it. I predict that “The Katie” will be in like flynn in no time at all.
Picky and cynical are two of my favorite descriptive phases as well, which was why I was shocked you liked the dress. It looks like she’s being attacked by vines from the back – I want to grab a weedwhacker.
