Snarkstress

Miley Cyrus is a Purple People Greeter

Miley Cyrus

Peace Out, Peeps

First off, dahlings, let me take a moment to note how many times I had to use my backspace button because my fingers just can’t help but type “Ray” after “Miley”. As in, Miley Ray Cyrus. Cripe. My snarky brain just can’t grasp that she ain’t her daddy’s namesake, thank Gawd. Moving on…

Here’s Miss Hannah Montana herself, the uber-adored Miley Cyrus. While the threat of over-exposure surrounds this chick like a gaggle of over-zealous fans, I still kind of like her in that “She’s cute, talented and not-too-annoying” kind of way. It’s not her fault her Daddy-o sang the worst song ever recorded, after all. I guess we shouldn’t hold that against her, right loves?

So while I’m not thrilled with parts of this look on such a young girl, I do like the risks she’s taking here – the very grape-ity color, the metallic skinny belt and the shrunken jacket. However, the cowl-neck is way too old for her and I’d rather see a more youthful hemline at the end of her skirt, but hey, she’s halfway there. I love that she’s kept her hair bouncy and fun and her cute little fresh-faced smile is always welcome. But yanno what I dig the most? This girl be rockin’ some curves. She’s not all sickly and stick-like and what-not. Now that is a characteristic of a young girl’s role model I’d die to see more of.

My summary: Rock on, Miley! You get the much-coveted Snarkstress Seal of Approval. *mwah*

she’s so cute. don’t like the neck either but eh, the hair is fabulous..LOL

I much prefer to see a young starlette dressing more mature than she should be (ie cowl neck) as opposed to the norm — a 15-year old dressing like a hooker in training. It’s refreshing to be able to look at a picture of a minor without feeling like a pedophile based on their choice of clothing.

Gotta say “Adorable!” I, too, would for go the cowl neck. I would love to have my son one day bring her home to mama(when my son is old enough to date that is). Snarkstress?

@ Dexie – Yes, the hair is fab. I love this look, rather than the flat-iron coaxed straightness of yore. Sexy, but tasteful.

@ Julie – Totally agreed. It’s nice to see that this girl’s tatas have a home inside her clothes, and not hanging out all over. If there’s one thing we can give Big Daddy Billy Ray credit for, it’s keeping his little girl a Little Girl. Or at least a proper young lady.

@ klassy – My son will never date in my lifetime. My eldest, at least. Besides, I already have him betrothed to a fine young lady. They’ll marry at 28. That’s only 22 more years. Booo-hooo-hooo-hoo!

The younger one, however, will probably nail every chick he can get his mitts on, so keep an eye on Little Klassy! Lock ‘er up now! Consider that fair warning.

I like the outfit a lot and the two things I like most about Miley are her relatability and the fact that she doesn’t conform to society’s restrictive standards of “googd little girl’. SHe’s not mega conservative or half-naked. She’s balanced, and she’s becoming a woman. she’s not a little kid anymore.
