‘Scuse me a sec, dahlings. I know we just leapt into a New Year, but did time somehow go backwards and nobody bothered to tell me? I sure as hell hope so, because that is the only way I could explain away the dastardly beach duds Neil Patrick Harris and his boy lovah, David Burtka, are sporting. Gah!
Seriously, I haven’t seen nonsense like this since the Crockett and Tubbs era. I really can’t stop staring. It’s like when you see a big zit on someone’s face and you know you shouldn’t stare, and it’s pretty much making you physically ill to stare, but you continue to do it anyway. Yeah, this is like that.
And I thought gay guys knew better. Sigh.

Really, abba! They are both putrid. I think my vote goes to Doogie, though. Those shorts bring back waaaay too many unpleasant flashbacks and the stupid hockey shirt is so not appropriate for beachwear – at least pick a warm-weather sport, you Dupa.
As ridiculous as David looks, at least he’s got a cohesive “theme” going on – even if that theme is “Bad Tourist Chic”.

I think they’d blend in pretty well at the beach (I live in LA), which is probably what they’re trying to do. Wear anything too flashy and people will be overwhelmed by the hotness and realize who they are… which might result in a little more attention than they intended.

First of all, they are both absolutely fabulous and they are fabulous no matter what they wear… I mean imagine Neil wearing a airforce uniform… I’m getting off-topic.
Second, who says celebrities can’t go to the beach like regular people and wear casual stuff? I mean sure, it’s not exactly a la mode, but who cares? They probably didn’t want to be noticed and have a nice time at the beach…
Finally, I find your abominable comments about them being gay hurtful and offensive. Society’s never gonna make any progress until we all learn (to pretend) to respect each other! If you have a problem with other people’s sexuality, you’re probably just hiding the fact that you’re not really satisfied with your own… So get your head out of your ass, man… The world ain’t black and white anymore, you can stick those stereotypes and prejudices up your falopian tubes!
I think they look fine. They’re just going to the beach. Its not like they’re going to be on the red carpet or something. So because their celebrities they can’t be casual and comfortable??? They’re a cute couple and the seem really happy together. I wish them all the best!
