I have avoided talking about Amy Winehouse and her seemingly neverending vacation in St. Lucia. The woman has been sauntering up and down the beach for weeks – looking more and more disgustingly washed up every single day.
But today, I couldn’t avoid this moment any longer. It appears Winehouse has been on the beach long enough that she is now actually molting. That is no average sunburn, nor is the grotesque peeling happening on her leg normal.
Please go home, Amy. Just go home. No one is going to make you put on the grungy old beehive weave again if you don’t want to. You could even give up singing and go work for Starbucks indoors instead of subjecting yourself and those around you and us at home to this unfortunate display of has-been pop icon.
