Elsa Pataky, I will never fully understand how you can take something that is so close to being beautiful and find some way to muck it up.
Though fashion shows in Paris, like the Haute Couture Armani Autumn/Winter 2009-2010 Collection, are a prime spot for being a bit daring, I can’t understand why your sleeves would (or should) poof in such a bizarre way. It’s like you enjoy my attacks on your fashion sensibilities. While I applaud your ability to somehow carry off an unreasonable amount of ruching for any woman’s curves to bear…the sleeves are ridiculous and just plain stupid.
You are a pretty girl, Miss Drew Barrymore. But there is a point where exaggeration overpowers beauty and it is at this point where you need to chop off the ballons above your elbows and embrace a more sophisticated look.

Who Authorized Red Circle Sleeves?

I have nightmares about shoulder pads making a comeback.
It’s not completely clear to me why my fashion fears are centered so fully on shoulder pads, but the thought of women climbing the corporate ladder one shoulder pad and tapered pant leg at a time…terrifies me. And yet somehow the worst possible incarnation of shoulder pads made an appearance during the Dolce and Gabbana Fall 2009 Collection Fashion Show.
