By now we are all mighty used to one Paris Hilton wearing off-the-wall, skimpy duds pretty much everywhere she goes. But she really outdid herself at the 2009 Grammy Awards with this frock. Looks like it’s from the P. Hil Boudoir/Clown School Collection. Seriously.

I don’t mind that the girl is shakin’ down some serious color. Sure, the colors are that of a circus costume, but still.

And I don’t even mind she’s rocking a major mini. She’s got the stems to do it.

However, the combo of the style of this thing mixed with the ick-inducing colors is just too much to handle. This is one of her worst get-ups, in my snarky opinion. But yanno what? Whatever. Without Paris making major fashion eff-ups like this, I’d be out of a job. So, press on, dear Paris. Press on and find the most ridiculous garb you can…for the sake of us all.

First off, allow me to give my super props to Coldplay on their multiple awards for the crazy-hot song Viva La Vida. Swear to Gawd, that is one of my favorite tunes evah and I’m totally stoked they got some fab recognition for it.

However…I must question the ridiculous fashion ensembles these crazy fools be wearing. Sure, I totally get that they’re quirky and what not, but honestly, I feel like I’m looking at an old photo of Menudo or something from back in the day. The bright colors are a bit wiggy even for those who tend to push the fashion envelope. They just look damn silly, if you ask me, and I’m thisclose to being embarrassed for them (except that I just don’t have the energy to be embarrassed for people who make crappy clothing choices. Seriously.)

So, yay on the awards, boo on the goofy getups. Coldplay, you’ve got a lot going fer ya. Now take some of that cash and hire thee a stylist! Puh-leeze!

The oh-so-awesome Julie, who was in charge here for a bit while I was off being fabulous somewhere else, did a bang up job, did she not? But alas, I simply could not resist the allure of coming back, so here I is. What a thrill.

What has happened to our once fabulous Katie Holmes? I think someone needs to get her on the horn with Posh, STAT! This girl needs a style overhaul that only the poshest of Poshes can handle. Seriously, this is an emergency!

Such sadness for a Friday. It’s just not right to end the week like this. Must search for someone who knows how to put an outfit together…

Yanno, dahlings, for the first time in a loooong time, I can’t find a single good thing to say about Mariah Carey’s look. Well, in this instance anyway.

Sure, I could blather on about how happy and fulfilled she looks, but since I have no interest in inducing a ralph session for all of you, I’ll stay away from the hearts and flowers. You’re welcome.

The problem here is that I think we’ve all been predisposed to the mega-flashy Mariah of late, and this sure as hell doesn’t measure up. First off, there’s not nearly as much skin as we’re used to. All I can assume is that she must have some majorly freaky rash to have covered up those stems like she did. I can’t remember the last time she wore a skirt or dress with hosiery. Seriously.

Next, where the flip are her accessories? Good Gawd, she needs a damn necklace or bling on the ‘ol upper body. Sheesh. (Since I just bought some similar, I do dig the nail polish, however.)

Finally, what happened to the power of some fabulous makeup? Give the woman some lips, already. If you’re going to be blah everywhere else, please, please, please put on a decent pair of lips. Gawd.

All in all, I am left halfway asleep here. This just ain’t the Mariah we’s all used to, yanno?

Katie Holmes out in NYC

I’m beginning to think that the fashion capital of the freaking world, New York City, is seriously lacking in the celebrity stylist department. Because how else can you explain the raging transformation of our once-fabulous Katie Holmes?

Once upon a time, Mrs. Cruise would’ve been on the right track with her upper half (I do love her gloves, bag, sunnies and jacket), but she has gone and ruined the whole thing with her selection of (once again) gigantor jeans. WTF?!? The Katie we used to know and love would’ve totally rocked a houndstooth pencil skirt with this look or even a simple black pant. But the denim bells? Egads!

I realize that “theatah” folks get all artsy and what not, but geez. Is there not room in Kate’s life for high fashion anymore? Puh-leeze. Girl needs to step out of the theater district for a sec and hit 5th Avenue – preferably with her AmEx Black Card.

I’m slowly warming up to these two as a couple, and pics like this certainly help. They look comfy together, but still exude fashion and sex appeal. Mimi’s stuff is totally shrunken, of course, but she still looks great and they both look totally in love.

Samantha Ronson Out with her Bro

I know she’s Lindsay Lohan’s alleged lovah and all, but as fascinating as Samantha Ronson is, I am remarkably far down on the list of the girl’s fashion fans.

Now, I get that she’s a DJ and DJ’s are all individualists and what not. I even get the concert t-shirt-slash-jeans fixation. Hell, I’m even okay with the white sunglasses. What gives me the cold chills are those godawful shoes! They are as ghastly as they come. I’d even prefer a pair of Vans over these pieces of wretch.

However…I am totally grooving on Sam’s darker ‘do, and am thrilled she left her hat at home for once. She was starting to remind me too much of Brad Pitt with that freaky hat obsession and all.

Jennifer Lopez Sweatin’ it Up at the Democratic National Convention

Aside from the giant and mucho-obvious pit stains on J. Lo’s frock, the girl looks mad hot. The red color on this Latin Mama is glorious, as is her new hairdo hue. And let’s not even get started with her post-twin bod. Sheesh!

Lookin’ good, Jen. Just be sure to slather on the clinical strength antiperspirant next time though, mm-kay?
