Though Kate’s bright pink v-neck top is a hot choice, what’s with the leggings? Hot? Umm … NOT!

This is one of my biggest pet peeves. I don’t care if you are skinny as Kate or as large as Oprah, I don’t want to see leggings with just a top. Leggings with skirt? Sure. Leggings with a dress? Absolutely. But make sure your rear is completely covered. Otherwise, it just looks ridiculous.

And what’s with the pinstriped blazer? Men’s Warehouse isn’t the place a super model should be shopping for a jacket!

Well now. I have to say that I am on the verge of being appalled when I look at this photo of Lady GaGa, set to perform with her band.

Now, let me be clear. I’m all for taking risks. I’m all for flashy performance-time outfits. I’m even all for frisky black leather on occasion. But I am NOT for trashy, bathing suit-esque hoochie mama get-ups with mongo leather bows and dominatrix gloves under any circumstances. None at all.

I’m starting to wonder if the pukey economy is beginning to work its way into Hollywood, putting all the one-time sensible stylists out of a job. Oh, I know that stars have always made gasp-worthy fashion choices along the way, but at least you could count on some halfway decent selections here and there. This, in no way, could be considered a “decent selection”. *shudder*

Lady, next time you’re heading out to perform, take a quick peek in the mirror and/or ask a friend. Or you could always give me a call, too. I’ll give you a straight-up opinion, that’s fer damn sure!

For several years, we saw some pretty scary frocks sashaying down the Red Carpet, but this year, I am thrilled to say, was a fabulous return to glamour. Many, many starlets rocked the RC with some of the most beautiful dresses in years (hello Penelope, Angelina, SJP et al).

Of course, where there is fab fashion, there is also freaky fashion. Case in point: Jessica Biel.

Just what in the hell was Jess thinking here? What in the world is that appendage hanging off her gown? It’s like there is some bizarro bib type situation going on. Or maybe just a stray hunk of fabric that somehow worked its way out of hiding? I dunno, but if she did this on purpose, it’s just plain wrong.

However…

Something very, very wrong happened here. Somehow on her way to a Fashion Week show her dress became mangled and she was left with no choice but to create a dress out of a Hefty bag. Pity, huh?

Thankfully, she accessorized her, um, dress, but unfortunately, the shoes were another miss. Just what in the hell is the fascination with these things? Seriously, I need to know. Hoof covers like these turn up way too often, and they’re still ugly as ever. Blech.

Overall, I am crazy disappointed in this look. Kate has looked so much better so many times. Why the eff up now, I wonder? At Fashion Week no less.

Whatever. Let’s just all pray she gets some better ideas from one of the shows. Oy, let’s pray…

Extra, extra! It’s Fashion Week in New York City and former American Idol finalist Kellie Pickler was on hand for the festivities after having been attacked by a department store makeup counter facialist. What a trooper!

For the girl to step out even after being blushed to death, lipsticked to a bloody pulp and eyelashed from here to tomorrow is quite amazing. She must be one helluva fan of whatever designer she was seeing that day. I mean, for real.

Now, I must say that I totally dig this coat, but beyond that, the girl is a mess. The hair is much too slicked back and the makeup is so damn over the top I worry for those who were photographed with her. Gah!

Fashion Week is all about taking chances and “being seen” and Gawd knows this girl is achieving both of those things…though not in a good way. *shudder*

Pickler, take heed. There will be fashion and makeup mavens at every shoulder rub. Learn from them. Puh-leeze.

By now we are all mighty used to one Paris Hilton wearing off-the-wall, skimpy duds pretty much everywhere she goes. But she really outdid herself at the 2009 Grammy Awards with this frock. Looks like it’s from the P. Hil Boudoir/Clown School Collection. Seriously.

I don’t mind that the girl is shakin’ down some serious color. Sure, the colors are that of a circus costume, but still.

And I don’t even mind she’s rocking a major mini. She’s got the stems to do it.

However, the combo of the style of this thing mixed with the ick-inducing colors is just too much to handle. This is one of her worst get-ups, in my snarky opinion. But yanno what? Whatever. Without Paris making major fashion eff-ups like this, I’d be out of a job. So, press on, dear Paris. Press on and find the most ridiculous garb you can…for the sake of us all.

First off, allow me to give my super props to Coldplay on their multiple awards for the crazy-hot song Viva La Vida. Swear to Gawd, that is one of my favorite tunes evah and I’m totally stoked they got some fab recognition for it.

However…I must question the ridiculous fashion ensembles these crazy fools be wearing. Sure, I totally get that they’re quirky and what not, but honestly, I feel like I’m looking at an old photo of Menudo or something from back in the day. The bright colors are a bit wiggy even for those who tend to push the fashion envelope. They just look damn silly, if you ask me, and I’m thisclose to being embarrassed for them (except that I just don’t have the energy to be embarrassed for people who make crappy clothing choices. Seriously.)

So, yay on the awards, boo on the goofy getups. Coldplay, you’ve got a lot going fer ya. Now take some of that cash and hire thee a stylist! Puh-leeze!

The oh-so-awesome Julie, who was in charge here for a bit while I was off being fabulous somewhere else, did a bang up job, did she not? But alas, I simply could not resist the allure of coming back, so here I is. What a thrill.

Seriously, I am so excited to be here. There is so much horrible celeb fashion going on out there, I can hardly contain myself. I hope you are feeling chatty because I’d love to start some lively discussions on just what is being worn out there in H-wood.

Of course, there is also plenty of great fashion, and we’ll take a look at some of that as well.

There is so much you can do fashion-wise when it comes to bundling up and staying warm in the winter. You do not have to look frumpy either! You can dress warmly and look absolutely dazzling by just adding a couple of great pieces to your winter wardrobe.

A great coat is a must for the winter. Check out Hilary Swank’s white coat above. Gorgeous! I have several coats that I wear with different outfits and I didn’t pay a fortune for them either. My most recent find was a Kenneth Cole feather/down coat that I purchased at Costco for $30. It is SO warm and it looks great with a pair of jeans. I also have a black leather coat that I can wear with just about anything.

I have several pairs of boots that keep my little toes warm and toasty. I have the great knee high leather pair of boots that I wear when I am feeling like a rock star. Take a look at Taylor Swift’s awesome black boots above. Then I have my casual boots in black, brown and beige that I wear the most. It snows where I live, so boots are a must! I can pair these boots with a pair of skinny jeans or boot cut and I am good to go!
