For some reason, every time I look at this photo of Mischa Barton, snapped in between takes while on the set of the Beautiful Life filming at the New York Supreme Court building, the R.E.M. song “Everybody Hurts” pops into my head. Indeed, after surprising all of us by looking like a normal twenty something last week, this is a step back into the sad, forlorn Mischa we had hoped was gone forever.

Lately I have been rather tough on Sienna Miller. She has disappointed with ugly pants and hideous patterns. But this old Hollywood inspired gold gown for the Hollywood premiere of G.I. Joe is gorgeous. Reminiscent of the canary yellow gown that really elevated Michelle Williams from Dawson’s Creek to Hollywood Starlet at the Oscars a few years ago, this is a long overdue improvement for Sienna’s typical miniskirts and mod shapes.

I don’t know how Jennifer Aniston does it, but somehow the woman keeps looking ridiculously fabulous and better than ever, year after year. It would be obnoxious, but she also seems pretty nice so I suppose I can’t fault her for just simply being beautiful. Though I will continue to try.

Geri Halliwell’s had her fair share of ups and downs, but one would have hoped that over the years she may have learned a few things. Maybe even that strapless dresses that barely cover your bosom are a bad idea.
