Why so blue, Hil? Can we chat for a minute about what’s going on here with that skirt and those cowboy boots? I think you might be confused about whether there is or isn’t a dude ranch nearby in Toluca Lake. You see, while I’m totally all for the new and improved re-curvi-fied Hilary Duff, I don’t feel like you’re doing yourself justice here. The skirt is a little bit too peasant-esque and the boots are just silly for a sweltering California afternoon. No qualms here with the simple black tank top, but everything else must go my dear…

Unless I missed the story and you are in fact trading in your celeb status for rodeos and cattle prods?

Okay dahlings, although I can never claim to be Hilary Duff’s fan club Prez (she’s cute, but she doesn’t knock my knickers off, yanno?) I realize that there is an assload of you readers who worship this girl, and since I found this totally fab pic of her rocking out a very hip and appropriate summer look, here you be. I hope this photo makes your life complete.

Let it be known that I do give my approval on every inch of her, however, from her highlighted locks to her bold red nails to her white jeans and tank to her kick-ass shoes. This gig is great on her. So I know if I love it, all you Hilary-freaks will looooove it.

Getting a Leg(ging) Up with Hilary Duff

So dahlings, here we are, checking out this pic of Hilary Duff, addressing The Leggings Issue yet again. And why, I ask. Why must I come back to this again and again and again? Have we not learned anything yet about leggings and their place in this world yet? As in: There is no place in this world for those hideous things!!

Now I will say, if a person had a momentary (or recurring, in some cases) lapse of judgment and they somehow found their lower half being accosted by a pair of leggings, then I suppose Hil’s look is the only way to go. She keeps it cazh (though I’m not loving the fleshy shoes with the gray and black) and if I was in my “Happy Place”, I could possibly turn my head away and pretend I never saw her commit the dastardly deed of Wearing Leggings. But, too bad, so sad for Hilary. It’s Monday morning and I’m not in my Happy Place, so there will be no forgiveness. Nuh unh, not today.

So anyway loves, I will be the most gleeful dame in all of Snarkville the day my sight is no longer threatened by this horrific “trend”. Will it ever happen? Well, that remains to be seen. But let’s just hope it doesn’t happen again on a Monday, yanno? Oy.
