Selita Ebanks Is Looooosing Contro-ol

How on earth did Selita Ebanks find herself squeezed into the very same skin tight leather pants worn by Olivia Newton-John in Grease while attending the Whitney Contemporaries Art Party and Auction? I’m not sure who she paid off, but that girl has skills because I can’t see how anyone could make off with such an iconic pair of pants without anyone noticing…

That being said, does iconic necessarily mean acceptable? Sure, we were all swooning over the inevitable scene reuniting Sandy and Danny before they hopped into the car and took off into the sky (honestly – lamest part of the movie. You have to admit that they could have closed on any scene three minutes before that happened and we all would have been satisifed).

But I digress…

What I’m trying to point out here is that Selita’s pants look uncomfortably tight – just because Sandy did it, does that mean you have to, Selita?

Taylor Momsen’s Leather Overload

At what point did Taylor Momsen fully embody Jenny Humphrey? I’m assuming it’s the haircut that sent her over the edge – but the red lips sealed the deal. Here, Momsen is showing off her upscale hipster stylings at the Carrera Vintage Sunglasses Launch. But something about her ensemble makes it plainly obvious that Jenny Humphrey’s stylist was not involved in Taylor’s look.

Oh yes. That’s it. The leather pants, leather jacket, babydoll dress top equation is an unfortunate one. Particularly when the line where your shoes end and pants begin doesn’t exist.

To top things off, Taylor has accentuated things with black nail polish. Do they really still sell this? Do girls who aren’t involved in goth circles really buy black nail polish.

Disappointing and rough to look at as this outfit might be, Taylor’s makeup is still dramatic and gorgeous. Maybe her makeup artist knows a stylish who can pull Taylor out of this pit of deplorable leather.

Fergie’s Booty Makes Leather Pants Happy

So, um, wow, huh dahlings? How’s that for bootylicious? Take that, Beyonce!

Now, I adore Fergie’s music, but I’m not always on board with her look. Occasionally, she staggers on the edge of looking dude-like, and while I loved her yellow dress at the Grammy Awards, she sparked more than one rumor of pregnancy and it’s easy to see why.

But here…hotdawg! Girl is lean, mean and cutting up those leather pants like nobody’s business. Lovin’ it, Ferg! Bravo.
