I liked it better when I thought Leighton Meester was a real life version of Blair Waldorf.  But when she makes raunchy music videos, has rumors of sex tapes, and dresses like a classy stripper when attending events, I just get really disappointed.  Why can’t she be more classy in real life?

I definitely applaud Leighton Meester for the concept of “go big or go home.”  She really goes all out with her fashion choices, so she either looks completely show-stoppingly gorgeous or she looks like a big ole mess.  At the 61st Primetime Emmys I’m going to go with big ole mess.

Alright, this is a big improvement since the last time I noticed blonde Leighton Meester around town.
I don’t love the way this dress is detailed with all the flaps of fabric, but it’s still quite cute on her and certainly one of the more stylish choices for the MTV Movie Awards. The dark eye makeup is fantastic and hint of blush makes her look like the happiest little actress in the world.

Why is it that Leighton Meester, who just recently was overbronzed and brunette, now looks pale and boring with her new flaxen locks? Has Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester found a professional stylist/tanning mist expert to somehow create a look that only contains similar shades of bronze?
Why aren’t any colors incorporated into this? From her skin to her shoes, dress and hair, Leighton is almost completely one color. If she were laying in the sand, you might trip over her.

As much as this photo offends the senses – sneakers have no business near Leighton Meester’s dress – I’m going to blame an overzealous PR flack for this disaster. Given that Leighton is there to promote the launch of Reebok Top Down launch, it makes sense for her to wear the shoes. Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester. A beautiful girl, indeed. And bless her little heart for rocking such a tricky color. But why is it that I can’t get the image of a lamp shade out of my head? I mean, really. What’s going on around her middle? That is Lamp Shade City if I ever saw it. The fringe, the braiding. It’s all so…lampish.
