For some reason, every time I look at this photo of Mischa Barton, snapped in between takes while on the set of the Beautiful Life filming at the New York Supreme Court building, the R.E.M. song “Everybody Hurts” pops into my head. Indeed, after surprising all of us by looking like a normal twenty something last week, this is a step back into the sad, forlorn Mischa we had hoped was gone forever.

Britney Spears: Pulling It Together?

Is it true? Can it be possible? Is Britney Spears actually settling into motherhood and showing up in public looking reasonably well dressed and…happy? Not drugged out happy (I hope) but legitimately “happy” happy?
Are you actually telling me this woman in the photo below isn’t just another young mom in the park with her kids? Because I don’t see any of the typical signs of crazy laying around, so this is a little bit of a shock and I can’t help but be suspicious about whether or not that is truly Ms. Spears looking all “responsible” and “attentive”.
