The Smithsonian is hoping to display the gown and unveil it sometime this summer. It will be displayed in the First Ladies Collection at the National Museum of American History.

There’s quite a process in obtaining the dress and then repairs take place for any wear and tear that has happened. Needless to say, it’ll be awhile until we see the dress displayed at the Smithsonian.

They also are hoping to obtain the rights to her yellow Isabel Toledo outfit that she wore for the swearing in.

What did you think of our First Lady’s wardrobe choices? Her Inaugural Ball Gown was definitely my favorite.

This dress from White House | Black Market is sweeping the ladies of America into a fashion frenzy. Could Michelle be the next Jackie O, I ask? Hm? Perhaps it’s quite possible; only time will tell.

Now we all know how my snarky-bad self feels about black and white: it makes my frozen heart thaw and sing with pleasure. And this dress is no exception. It’s cute, it’s fun, it’s stylish and it’s appropriate. And hey, if the possible future First Lady digs it, well then, it’s no wonder a good hunk of Female America does too.

Well done, Mrs. Obama. Well done.
