I happen to be a huge Sarah Polley fan (yes, I am occasionally approve of certain things) – but this whole getup is a little too prom night for my taste. Especially given that poor Sarah is sandwiched between two glamazons who are looking about as chic as can be.

You can’t compete with that in a plain ol’ long red dress and silver wedge heels. No matter how hard you try, Sarah, it’s just not going to end well.

The good news is that you are still cute as a button. But let’s get back to the days where you wore funky outfits and were all indie awesome, okay?

Seriously though – as much as I might have reservations about the knotted neckline paired with a floral skirt and Alexander McQueen shoes that would be better suited to an outfit that didn’t contain so much bright pink (these neon puppies just want to stand on their own, darling), this is a lovely fresh faced Mischa Barton at the Launch Party for ‘I Heart Ronson” fashion collection designed by Charlotte Ronson for JCPenney.

Maybe my Mischa standards are just that low that I am able to let these strange happenings pass without giving it much of a second thought. But it is seriously nice to see her out on the red carpet without a whole pile of emotional baggage weighing her down.

Let’s hope the road contains more days like this and less sulky sequined moments like a couple weeks ago.

The minidress is perfectly tailored for her lovely figure and each accessory effortlessly fits into the ensemble as a whole. She looks happy – relaxed, comfortable and totally confident. Not something you typically see of young celebrities these days.

Yes, I can imagine Jamie-Lynn and I would get along just fine. Particularly because she doesn’t strike me as the type to give into disaster trends like parachute pants and denim rompers. The fact she makes it look so easy is why I can’t help but be irritated by other young celebs who just can’t seem to keep it together.

Why is her date wearing a wee little scarf with that button up black shirt? I don’t even know who that is, nor do I particularly care, but my goodness that scarf is more obnoxious than most male fashion faux pas you see these days. Take off the scarf, he’s actually rather handsome. But with that little accessory hanging around his neck, the whole thing falls to pieces.

[Sidenote: It's always such a shame when a cute skirt wrinkles that badly on the way over. Limos should come equipped with a steam press for such occasions.]

What is there to say about her outfit other than the dress is too short, the boots inappropriately chunky for anyone who has opened a fashion magazine in the last five years, and Amanda looks more like a hooker than a bright young actress.

(Actually, is she that young? I don’t know. But it doesn’t matter. The girl has potential and she’s squandering it in this hoochie dress.)

The most annoying fashion faux pas are those that some of the otherwise most beautiful women on the planet commit. Amanda may not have the star power of some celebrities, but she could. If she would stop dressing up like a teenage boy’s video game fantasy…she really could.

Well, it seems Geri Halliwell has all the necessary components covered for the Monaco Grand Prix. The skirt fits (or rather, it doesn’t) and I don’t know how people around her are resisting the urge to run a comb through her tangled hair.

It is especially disappointing when the dress is otherwise quite cute – it just needs a couple more inches to make me less nervous about the turn of events should Geri drop her sunglasses.

Why aren’t any colors incorporated into this? From her skin to her shoes, dress and hair, Leighton is almost completely one color. If she were laying in the sand, you might trip over her.

The dress is pretty cute – and the shoes could be fabulous with a pair of skinny jeans and a colorful top – but here there is nothing to set them off and make them pop. They are just nude shoes. Nude shoes with tan legs, a tan skirt and poorly blended tan cheeks.

This is simply too much tan for April. Or ever, Leighton.

Why would you put a train on this dress? Why? It takes a great deal of confidence to carry off this miniskirt and severely scooped neckline – but the impact is dulled when a pile of black fabric is bunched up on the ground.

Maybe if someone else attending the Obsessed premiere has any decency at all, they will carefully walk up behind Beyonce, chop off the train, and let this dress do what it’s supposed to do and compliment her lovely figure…instead of weighing her down.

On another note…Geri needs to step away from the sun and learn to make peace with her fair coloring. My dear, you clearly have the type of skin that burns. Your arms and chest are revealing your secret, which will come back to haunt you in ten years when you are a wrinkled, leather-y looking woman who now has to contend with both cellulite and skin cancer.

Wear dangerously plunging necklines if you must. Select a gold dress and accent them with earrings that look like they came from a carnival, but please stop buring your skin for the sake of a bronze glow. The tan will only last for a couple of days, but these are the sunspots and wrinkles you are going to have to live with forever, Geri.
