Yesterday, February 3rd, was the Brazil premiere of Tom Cruise’s World War II movie “Valkyrie”. He and wife Katie Holmes and daughter Suri Cruise are in Rio de Janiero with him.

Katie attended the premiere alongside her husband and she seemed to steal the show! I absolutely love this vintage look on her. She wore a vintage Christian Lacroix dress and Rene Caovilla shoes. The dress is completely different than anything I have seen Katie wear before.

Her slicked back hair and bright red lips just make her pop on that red carpet!

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have had a busy week. They attended the Critics’ Choice Awards earlier this week and then last night (January 11), they attended the 66th Golden Globes. I liked both of their looks better at the Critics’ Choice Awards, but there was definitely nothing wrong with their wardrobe choices last night!

Angelina was nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama (Changeling) and Brad was nominated for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button). Neither of them came away with an award.

For this awards show, Brad went with a more classic tuxedo look, with a pair of sunglasses. Angelina Jolie wore a similar colored dress as her Critics’ Choice Awards number. Instead of sporting a sleek pony tail, she wore her hair down and simple. They both look fabulous, especially standing together. What a couple these two are!

Husband and wife duo Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon attended the 66th Golden Globes together on Sunday, January 11th. Kyra looks stunning, while Kevin looks like he rolled out of bed or had too much to drink or something. What is wrong with him? I thought this picture was taken before the after parties, but one look at Kevin says he partied hard!

Enough about Mr. Bacon. Let’s chat Kyra’s dress shall we? I love the classic red dress for a red carpet event and this dress was absolutely beautiful!

The dress is strapless, but is staying put (unlike Nicole’s!). It hugs her body in all the right places and drapes down to the floor where you can see a little train. I like the bodice work and the thin belt. Fab-u-lous red carpet choice!

I wonder if celebrities ever have nightmares about walking the red carpet at some big event and they lose their top, or someone steps on their skirt and it falls down? Or how about their bra is sticking out and they are having to pull their dress up all night? That was Nicole’s nightmare becoming a reality!

Penelope Cruz arrived at the 14th Annual Critics Choice Awards in a deep blue floor length dress. I love this dress as much as Kate Beckinsale’s purple one. 

My favorite thing about her dress is the waist. It adds beautiful detail and it adds another dimension to the dress. The bodice area gives her some great curves, but in a flattering way. Take a look at her small handbag. Isn’t it great?! I love how it matches her dress.

Penelope Cruz is such a beautiful woman and she made such a great choice for the red carpet.

Oh dear, someone please tell me that Debra Messing was paid an ungodly amount of money to wear this dress! Or, that she had a bet with a friend that she could wear the weirdest dress to the People’s Choice Awards. Well, Debra…you won!

It appears that she is trying to smuggle someone into the awards show. The dress is all poofy in the front and sides. I just don’t get it!

Let’s see, if we chop off the dress from the waist up, then Debra Messing looks gorgeous. Her hair and makeup is working, but the bottom part of this dress is not. Wait until you see the side shot below. LOL!!

I tend to rag on Paris Hilton’s fashion choices because, well, the girl gives me a lot of material. She has worn some funky things in the past, but today I am happy to announce that I stand and applaud her. (Come on…stand up with me!)

Paris attended the 35th Annual People’s Choice Awards looking beautiful! Even though it’s winter and she wore the perfect dress for spring, I think it was a fun choice for the awards show. This is a dress I would wear on a fun date night or to a spring wedding.

I love all of the little flowers and if you look at her shoulder, you can see that the little flowers line the shoulder straps. So cute!

Way to go Paris! You look stunning.

I’ve mentioned before that I don’t think Jennie Garth ever goes wrong when it comes to fashion. Whether she is pushing a shopping cart at the grocery store or attending the 35th Annual People’s Choice Awards, she always looks gorgeous.

Last night Jennie went with a simple, yet sophisticated black dress. You can’t go wrong with a black dress and she looks stunning! I love the detail on the neckline and the short capped sleeves.

Jennie Garth accessorized the dress with a pair of shoes I would like to steal right off of her feet, a small black handbag and some fabulous red lips! When you wear a black dress, it’s always a good idea to add a punch of color somewhere. You can wear a pair of bright earrings, carry a brightly colored handbag or do what Jennie did and pucker up with some red lips.

Here’s one of my picks for a red carpet flop. It’s Nikki Cox in an all white tight fitting dress.

It’s not necessarily the dress I don’t like. I mean, it’s not my favorite, but someone, other than Nikki Cox, probably could have pulled this off. But on her, it looks awful! Maybe it’s the way she is standing.

This was not a good red carpet choice for her. She should have worn something with a lower neckline, which wouldn’t have accentuated those lips so much. That type of tight neck line is not flattering on her at all.

My favorite part about the dress is the 3 stripes of color – pink, red and purple. If you would have come to me and said ‘I want you to wear a dress with red, pink and purple stripes’, I would have told you that you were nuts! But the bold, wide stripes of these colors combined on this dress just works.

Then there is the detail on the shoulder and the very thin belt. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!

Rasario Dawson topped off the dress with a matching pair of purple shoes and only a slight hint of jewelry, diamond studs.
