Though I have been wary of Nicky Hilton and her over the top sister for a long time, I must say that the sense of style she’s been showing off lately is quite impressive. Instead of falling back on loud prints and neon colors like Paris, Nicky is opting for subtle hues, well tailored pieces and an elegant, understated effect.
Even the ripped skinny jeans work here because effort has gone into choosing a pair that is not too frayed but still has a bit of that rocker edge.

Cameron Diaz is on top of the world in her career and looking happier than ever in all the photos of her around town. But her dazzling smile hasn’t quite distracted me from the strange red and green accents on her ripped jeans. Now, the trend of ripped jeans itself…they are fine. They will do. I have no firm objections to a little fraying and tattering. But a big red patch up by your crotch?
