Here they are walking in Times Square after an appearance on The Alexa Chung Show.  I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to laugh at them again as I have so many times before.  Why do they keep doing this to themselves?  They look soooo incredibly awkward together that no one is buying that they have anything more than a socialite/publicist relationship.  Spencer is just Heidi’s publicist right?

Spencer is sporting his signature scary bug eyes, Jimmy Neutron hairstyle, and fake smile.  Heidi just looks scared and uncomfortable as her tiny body is being eaten by a large hairy object.  Poor sad reality nitwits.

Anyways, the show is supposed to be the go-to on television for great fashion, but I’m a little ho hum about Audrina Patridge and Lo Bosworth’s outfits lately.  Here they are walking down the street while filming an episode…and they are basically matching!  Black leggings, long white shirt, with black jacket/vest.  How can we look to these girls for fashion advice if they dress so boring??  I think everyone I know already dresses like that.  Yawn.  Seriously I was wearing Lo’s outfit about two years ago.

At least Audrina’s hat is cute.  Try harder please or I will change the channel.

Yesterday I spotted Lo and Kristin out and about, and today I just had to post the Audrina and Stephanie Pratt sequel.  Stephanie’s outfit is a perfect example of these Hills ladies taking their job too seriously and going a little over the top with their ensembles.  She’s wearing an evening clubbing outfit complete with bangles, mini skirt, and high-heeled ankles booties…to get a mani/pedi!  And her legs are looking quite twiggy…this girl needs to eat!  Audrina usually looks pretty cute during the day with some California cas looks…her pale gray skinny jeans are the perfect length and I like the cross-body bag.  Points for Audrina!

Okay let’s see if these girls continue to intrigue me throughout the season or if I have given them too much undeserved attention already…

Here she is filming an episode with fellow castmate Lo Bosworth.  I am not super overjoyed about her outfit, but I do LOVE her shoes!  Super cute!  And she totally pulls off the casual California cool look with her cut-offs, long-sleeved tee and flowing blonde hair.  Lo looks pretty cute with her Chanel chain bag, oversized button-up and booties.  Didn’t they hate each other back in Laguna Hills days??  Hm I guess I will just have to tune in to find out…see I’m already hooked!

Is anyone else as excited as I am that Kristin has replaced Borin’ Conrad??

I think she is getting her red carpet tips from America’s Next Top Model because we’ve all heard Tyra tell the model-wannabes to streeeeetch their necks out to look tall and thin in photographs.  But wow, it really just looks awkward and ostrich-like in this picture.  The fake eyelashes and heavy eyeliner paired with the extreme slicked ponytail just makes her face look shiny and plastic like a brand new Barbie.  The way things are going, I predict only a couple more years before this 23 year old is thinking she needs Botox.

In this case, we have the same tired farm girl hairdo (seriously girls, we’re over it) and a dress that would be more appropriate if Whitney skeeved around in seedy bar motels and accepted tips on nightstands. Not only is this dress overly revealing but it’s not particularly flattering either. The way the lines and shades fall in her midsection – I could swear that the word “paunch” might be accurate if I didn’t consider the skinny gams and collarbone you are still sporting, sweetie.

Please – stop styling yourself. Or letting whooever put you into this outfit continue doing so. You are such an adorable girl, Whitney – I just want what’s best for you, that’s all.

Shouldn’t a party at Skybar be a little bit fun, Kristin? I mean, really. And why does your dress look like it was made out of costume left overs from Monty Python and The Holy Grail? This little number needs to go back to the store and you, my darling, need to perk up and remember that now your life is selling the idea that this world you live in is fabulous and everyone should want to be there. Otherwise…what’s the point in watching your silly show?

But the girls of The Hills, out at Madame Royale for the evening, don’t seem to fit this pattern – most likely due to the fact that their friendship is entirely contrived and mapped out on an MTV storyboard. Details like Audrina Partridge’s sheer top and overly grungy ripped pants, compared to Stephanie Pratt’s severe neckline and miniskirt could possibly be tied together as “these are the girls who are dying for attention – even though they have cameras following them around – and will wear anything to get it.”

But Lauren Bosworth’s simple top and skinny jeans are…understated. Casual chic. She looks relaxed, ten times more mature and polished than her cohorts – so why is she slumming it with them? Well, I suppose everyone has their price and I guess I wouldn’t mind being photographed with the sloppy ladies on her left if it came with $10,000.

I might have appreciated a little bit more accessorizing than this, but then again better to let the dress speak for itself than overdo it with flashy jewelry. Better still is a lovely transition from blonde to brunette with her perfectly suited messy updo. Much better than her tired looking extensions at the MTV Movie Awards.

But the big question. Will I buy the book?

Yeah…probably not.

No, I don’t like your hair, Holly. I don’t like your hair, or this outfit. I don’t even like the makeup. This whole take on 80s Like A Virgin Madonna isn’t working for you or sitting well with me.

Ultimately,  might have been able to pass the ensemble off as merely lame, but the way those pants are poofing out around your feet is making it look as though you are twenty pounds heavier than your obviously small frame might otherwise suggest. Maybe with skinny jeans the blazer and layers of necklaces might work better, but right now the pants are killing everything that might have any glimmer of potential.

Too bad. I have a feeling by the time you figure out this whole Hollywood schtik, I will have probably forgotten your name completely.
