When I spoke about Eva Mendes being a style inspiration, I would never have expected her to leave the house (let alone a plane) wearing such a disaster of an outfit. Is that a pumpkin on her head? A hat constructed for Halloween?
Speaking of Halloween, the stripes are more than just a little reminiscent of a prisoner outfit. I still would love to hold out hope that Eva is making some sort of statement here that we just could never understand…something about being a slave to fashion, behind style bars…a metephorical excuse for this sad state of fabric affairs.

Hats Off To Ricki Lake (no really)

There was one year during junior high school that I insisted on wearing a black corduroy pageboy hat. No matter how much my parents tried to reason with me and explain that the fashionable choices of the moment were a poor choice for photos that would live on forever as a commemorative piece of my personal history.
I didn’t relent and now there is a fabulously unattractive photo of me wearing the hat and a fine set of braces with blue rubber bands. Amazing choices all around.
