I would typically consider Robert Downey Jr. to be one of the more stylish men in Hollywood. Not the kind of stylish that took a team of ten and a hundred grand to create – no, I have this idea in my mind that he just happens to have a closet full of classic items that aren’t too trendy and always look good.

Aren’t these two such a lovely pair? It is nice to see a Gossip Girl couple sauntering around town in style. Yes, Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr are prime examples of how to look stylish but not too trendy -his casual black shirt, her pretty little Ash & Dans brooch headband perched up on her brow…it’s just so nice to see.
That is, until I noticed one glaring misstep in Miss Szohr’s decisions.

Oh. It’s her boyfriend. Continuing to look like he just crawled out of a sewer. While Blake Lively is doing the rounds in front of the cameras at the Fort Lauderdale opening of the W hotel, Penn Badgley looks lost. And a disheveled. Maybe even a little bit like Pig Pen.
Darling, if you can’t take a shower, run a comb through your hair and at least trim up that beard a bit, you should just stay home. There will always be other hotel openings.
