Speaking of…Nicky Hilton (ya know…the other Hilton) was talking and walking in Sunset Plaza with a terrible outfit on!  The worst part is that she was definitely trying…it’s a way-too-planned outfit that just is yuck.  I HATE the fit of the T-shirt…even though the graphic is cute, it fits like something that should be worn to the gym.  The terrible tee with the huge cardigan just somehow make her hips look enormous.  The red patent leather heels are waaay too dressy to be worn with the rest of the ensemble.

At least a few of these pieces would be cute on their own, but this girl definitely needs to hire a stylist…soon!

It’s not just the shag carpet skirt that makes the dress horrendous…the nude color is basically the same color as the fair-skinned singer so it completely washes her out.  Someone should inform her (I guess it will have to be me…) that nude does not work for her.

The lacy platforms with velvet bows are cute, but again they just don’t look that great on her.  It’s like her feet are telling me how uncomfortable they are in those shoes and it just makes them look bad.

I can’t exactly put my finger on it, but I just really don’t like this look for Charlize on the red carpet for the screening of The Road in Hollywood.  Usually she goes for a classic look and is STUNNING, but somehow the combination of the dark lipstick, nude eyes, and a frazzled attempt at Old Hollywood style glamour waves just are not working.  I also have a huge problem with her sandals…I fully support a tall skinny woman wearing flats, but these are waaaay too casual for her dress.

I think she knows this is not her best look because her facial expression is more silly than confident.  I’ve decided that Charlize should stick with the smoky eye.

Unless he’s trying to signal airplanes, he is really wearing far too much bright yellow. This color yellow is okay as an accent piece, but not as your shirt, shoes and even sunglasses. And as much as I was displeased with Taboo’s look, don’t get me started on Will.i.am.

I’m not sure what to even say about this ensemble. A turquoise, purple and black ombre leather jacket with lavender jeans tucked into boots?

I’m convinced some people don’t look in the mirror before leaving the house (or the hotel, in this case).

I didn’t relent and now there is a fabulously unattractive photo of me wearing the hat and a fine set of braces with blue rubber bands. Amazing choices all around.

Since then, I’ve learned better. I don’t wear hats when a camera might come around (I believe it was a traumatic set of photos at a party that included a bucket hat which finally cemented this rule of thumb for me). However, it appears Ricki Lake, who recently took a page from my junior high year book at the World Poker Tournament, did not get the memo and somehow feels hats are a good decision for a trendy night out.

Yes, Ricki – good for you on losing that weight..again. Your hair is shiny and you’re boots are cute. But I had to squint very closely to see what was going on around your midsection and let me tell you…I am not impressed.

The hat is a quality piece of ugly, but that baggy shirt and mini skirt are battling to the death and no one is winning. Make a choice, Ricki. Loose top…form fitting bottom. A-line skirt…give us some shape above your midsection.

You’re not a teenage girl awkwardly making your way through junior high. You were at one time compared to Oprah! I expect more from you Ricki. Let this be a lesson that pageboy caps do not belong in school pictures or at poker tournaments. Now go see a tailor about that top of yours.

Though Kate’s bright pink v-neck top is a hot choice, what’s with the leggings? Hot? Umm … NOT!

This is one of my biggest pet peeves. I don’t care if you are skinny as Kate or as large as Oprah, I don’t want to see leggings with just a top. Leggings with skirt? Sure. Leggings with a dress? Absolutely. But make sure your rear is completely covered. Otherwise, it just looks ridiculous.

And what’s with the pinstriped blazer? Men’s Warehouse isn’t the place a super model should be shopping for a jacket!

Well now. I have to say that I am on the verge of being appalled when I look at this photo of Lady GaGa, set to perform with her band.

Now, let me be clear. I’m all for taking risks. I’m all for flashy performance-time outfits. I’m even all for frisky black leather on occasion. But I am NOT for trashy, bathing suit-esque hoochie mama get-ups with mongo leather bows and dominatrix gloves under any circumstances. None at all.

I’m starting to wonder if the pukey economy is beginning to work its way into Hollywood, putting all the one-time sensible stylists out of a job. Oh, I know that stars have always made gasp-worthy fashion choices along the way, but at least you could count on some halfway decent selections here and there. This, in no way, could be considered a “decent selection”. *shudder*

Lady, next time you’re heading out to perform, take a quick peek in the mirror and/or ask a friend. Or you could always give me a call, too. I’ll give you a straight-up opinion, that’s fer damn sure!

Just what in the hell was Jess thinking here? What in the world is that appendage hanging off her gown? It’s like there is some bizarro bib type situation going on. Or maybe just a stray hunk of fabric that somehow worked its way out of hiding? I dunno, but if she did this on purpose, it’s just plain wrong.

However…

Something very, very wrong happened here. Somehow on her way to a Fashion Week show her dress became mangled and she was left with no choice but to create a dress out of a Hefty bag. Pity, huh?

Thankfully, she accessorized her, um, dress, but unfortunately, the shoes were another miss. Just what in the hell is the fascination with these things? Seriously, I need to know. Hoof covers like these turn up way too often, and they’re still ugly as ever. Blech.

Overall, I am crazy disappointed in this look. Kate has looked so much better so many times. Why the eff up now, I wonder? At Fashion Week no less.

Whatever. Let’s just all pray she gets some better ideas from one of the shows. Oy, let’s pray…

Extra, extra! It’s Fashion Week in New York City and former American Idol finalist Kellie Pickler was on hand for the festivities after having been attacked by a department store makeup counter facialist. What a trooper!

For the girl to step out even after being blushed to death, lipsticked to a bloody pulp and eyelashed from here to tomorrow is quite amazing. She must be one helluva fan of whatever designer she was seeing that day. I mean, for real.

Now, I must say that I totally dig this coat, but beyond that, the girl is a mess. The hair is much too slicked back and the makeup is so damn over the top I worry for those who were photographed with her. Gah!

Fashion Week is all about taking chances and “being seen” and Gawd knows this girl is achieving both of those things…though not in a good way. *shudder*

Pickler, take heed. There will be fashion and makeup mavens at every shoulder rub. Learn from them. Puh-leeze.
