Extra, extra! It’s Fashion Week in New York City and former American Idol finalist Kellie Pickler was on hand for the festivities after having been attacked by a department store makeup counter facialist. What a trooper!

For the girl to step out even after being blushed to death, lipsticked to a bloody pulp and eyelashed from here to tomorrow is quite amazing. She must be one helluva fan of whatever designer she was seeing that day. I mean, for real.

Now, I must say that I totally dig this coat, but beyond that, the girl is a mess. The hair is much too slicked back and the makeup is so damn over the top I worry for those who were photographed with her. Gah!

Fashion Week is all about taking chances and “being seen” and Gawd knows this girl is achieving both of those things…though not in a good way. *shudder*

Pickler, take heed. There will be fashion and makeup mavens at every shoulder rub. Learn from them. Puh-leeze.

Angelina Jolie usually always looks so glamorous and down-right gorgeous on the red carpet (well, ever since she dumped that Billy Bob guy). Unfortunately, at the Benjamin Button Berlin premiere, she is not looking good. It’s the hair. The hair is awful!

I know she’s been to a lot of premieres and award shows lately and was probably trying to mix things up again, but as they say, “don’t fix something that’s not broken”!

I love it when she wears her hair in a ponytail, an up-do, or even straight and flowing. This look was ALL wrong for her and it made her look so old!

Yes, she’s still a beautiful lady, but this is a definite Red Carpet FLOP!

Paris Hilton and her new BFF Brittany Flickinger were having quite a rough day with their grooming needs. They arrived at the AXE Fix Club in Park City, Utah with some major hair issues.

Now, I don’t want to be too hard on these ladies because although they are celebrities, they are human. But, what are best friends for? To tell you your hair is wacked or you have hairy armpits and that they are going to be photographed for the whole world to see!

Paris is an expert at getting her picture taken. What is up?! I don’t have the hairy armpit picture to share with you (just yet), which is probably something you don’t want to see anyway! Here are some more pictures of Paris and Brittany in Park City, Utah.

Kim Basinger was photographed walking through LAX and she was having a really bad hair day. You see that hat in her hand? She should put it on her head!

She is sporting the part straight, part wavy look and it’s not working. That frizzy look is never a good thing. I can completely relate to this look because if I let my hair air dry and did nothing with it, I would have the Kim Basinger style going on. So, you either break out the flat iron, the curling iron, the pony tail or the hat.

There are times when au natural is not a good thing. +1 picture of Kim Basinger below.

Jessica Simpson Out in NYC

I know so many of y’all hate on poor Jessica Simpson, but as daffy as she is, I still mostly dig her. And I especially love when she ditches the hideous racing gear and country bumpkin threads in exchange for glamming her bad self out.

Love her or hate her, you must admit the girl’s a stunner here. Looks like she got her hair did and her makeup is nothing short of fab. She’s even got the pouty lip thang going. Add to it the sexy peep-toes, slinky dress and wrap and you’ve got one hot tamale. Mama Snarkstress totally approves. This is a look Jess should stick with, for sure. Agreed?

Now, I don’t think there’s a human alive who could argue that High School Musical 3’s Ashley Tisdale doesn’t look fabulous here. Because she does. The dress is phenomenal, and she’s happy and glowing. She looks lovely.

But what’s with the hair?

Okay, I know it’s probably her au naturel color, but I am so not sure if I can deal with her being anything other than blond. Of course, I would take this over the dirty-blond or blond-with-roots that some celebs seem to be okay with these days *shudder*, but still.

Wow, um, way to channel Donna Reed for this outfit, P. Hil. For some oddball reason, I think a waist-apron and a plate of cookies is in order here.

Sure, it’s a little more low-cut than the average 50’s dress, but the skirt of the dress, bright red lips and schlacked hairdo are all signs of the times. Is Benji crackin’ the whip these days or what?

Ah, Paris Hilton. Out gallivanting around London like only she can. What a life.

Now, I’m not sure I’m fond of the bangs, and I am definitely not fond of the fact that her wacky (and trust me, it is wacky) dress is hanging out from below the hemline of her coat, but…THE *drool* COAT.

That coat is nothing short of divine.

I love that godforsaken thing! The color. The cut. The texture. The color. I really, really want this, but I’m rather certain it would be a stretch for my snarky budget. No matter. I’ll have my people call her people and I’m sure she’ll give me a loan (the coat, not money). Or maybe I’ll just catch up with P clubbing this weekend, who knows? In any case, that coat will be mine. Just you watch.

Brooke Shields at the 2008 Emmy Awards

Thank heavens Brooke Shields didn’t get lost in some Lipstick Jungle on the way to the Emmys because good gawddamn, this girl be hot! Seriously, does this hoochie ever age? She looks better than ever, I do believe. And that’s no small feat in H-wood.

Now, what has got me going so damn gaga that this look is my fave? Welp, where do I begin? The color is unbelievable. The train of the dress is so glamorous. The ruffles – a total fashion trend du jour – are played up perfectly. Her bod’s fab, her hair is lush and the jewels and bodice of her dress are the perfect complement to each other. I’m drooling and I can’t seem to stop…even 4 days later.
