Lady Gaga With Sky-High Shoulders

My original title when I first glimpsed this photo was “Lady Gaga Tones it Down” because I just saw the black jumpsuit and sunglasses and thought “hey she looks pretty and normal today.” But upon closer inspection I realized that she has giant shoulder pads that go up past her ears!!!

At this point I have decided that Gaga is a pure fashion genius because of her innovative style and artistic imagery in her costumes and music videos. People can hate all they want, but she is a complete pop culture phenomemon at this point and only continues to grow every second. (I already bought The Fame Monster btw!!!)

But…I have to admit that I’m a little disappointed by this outfit. I think she got lazy. Just adding giant shoulder pads to a black tuxedo jacket over a black pantsuit does not intrigue me.

Love you, Gaga, but not in love with this outfit.

I’ve Never Seen Beyonce Like This

Am I out of the loop? Did I somehow miss that Beyonce is now BLONDE?? Before now I would have thought that it was nearly impossible for this singer/dancer/actress extraordinaire to ever look anything less than gorgeous…but somehow she had a complete FLOP while out with hubbie Jay-Z at Mahiki in London last night.

In addition to the blonde hair, I also think the combination of the too-small fedora sitting on the top of her head just doesn’t fit her look and the red lipstick NEEDS to go. The makeup, the hair, the outfit…where did my beautiful Beyonce go???

Let’s just pretend this isn’t Beyonce and we’ll give her another chance.

Rihanna Shows Up in a Wedding Dress

Rihanna seems to have gotten a little confused about the dress code for the Glamour Magazine 2009 Women of the Year Awards at Carnegie Hall in New York City. While the rest of the women being honored showed up in short cocktail dresses and suits, Rihanna chose to wear what she had hanging in her closet and hadn’t had an opportunity to wear yet…a wedding dress???

Don’t get me wrong…this is a GORGEOUS gown…but it just seems a tad bit inappropriate. Can you say DIVA??? No one else is even wearing formal wear, so why draw so much attention to yourself? This is the WOMEN of the year awards…not WOMAN of the year awards!

Save this one-of-a-kind white gown for your wedding please!

Justin and Jessica Look Bored

When you hear that couples are on the rocks and then you see them out in public holding hands, it is usually not a good sign. The hand holding is just tooooo obvious and it makes it seem like they’re trying too hard! At first I saw this photo of Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel on their way to watch Jay-Z perform live at Pauley Pavilion in LA and thought “Oh cute! They are back together!” But then I looked a little closer…and they look like the most miserable (yet still beautiful) couple ever!!!

Their outfits look chic and perfectly accessorized with matching hats, jackets, and jewelry…but do they care more about their fashion than each other? Besides the hands, they look completely disconnected and bored. Perhaps the happy and perfect couple is lost forever…seriously Justin looks like a zombie and Jessica looks half asleep.

Katy Perry Wears a Shag Rug

I am searching for words to describe the strange dress that Katy Perry wore to the press conference for the MTV Europe Music Awards…so far I have shag rug, ostrich, and floor mop. If you had a little lap dog this dress would be perfect because it could fall asleep in your lap so easily…so soft and snuggly.

It’s not just the shag carpet skirt that makes the dress horrendous…the nude color is basically the same color as the fair-skinned singer so it completely washes her out. Someone should inform her (I guess it will have to be me…) that nude does not work for her.

The lacy platforms with velvet bows are cute, but again they just don’t look that great on her. It’s like her feet are telling me how uncomfortable they are in those shoes and it just makes them look bad.

Carrie Underwood in a Perfect Outfit

Omg Carrie Underwood has become one of those celebrities who I just want TO BE!!! I mean seriously…what is NOT amazingly perfect about her??? She has the hottest boyfriends, the best voice, the best clothes, makeup, hair, and on and on and on. She even seems sweet…could that be possible?

Carrie performed at Lincoln Center for Good Morning America and had the absolute cutest outfit ever!! I can’t even believe that this girl had to go through American Idol to become famous…I feel like she was born a star.

Can we gush for a moment about this outfit? I just spent FOREVER trying to figure out the designer of these amazing open-toe gladiator boots and unfortunately I have not yet found the answer…I will report back when I do, of course. She’s wearing a sparkly knit dress layered under a fitted short gray coat dress. The lengths are perfect and the sparkly belt and the red tights are the perfect accessories. AMAZING STYLING.

Lady GaGa in a Boring Outfit

Wowza! Lady GaGa showed up for the ACE Awards in New York on November 2 at Cipriani’s in a jeans, T-shirt and flip-flops! Nope…not really…I just thought that would be more shocking that what she DID show up in, which was the completely predictable over-the-top Lady GaGa extremism. She was accepting an award for her contribution to the world of fashion, so I’m glad she lived up to her achievement.

Btw…Does anyone know who her stylist is??? I mean, someone seriously needs to be getting credit for these insane ensembles that she appears in. Unless she is a complete fashion genius, there has got to be an entire team of behind-the-scenes folks who come up with these sick ideas…

Covering her face is definitely Lady GaGa’s “thing” so I’m not surprised to see this black lace mask with a bird’s nest wig and tiara. She also loves no pants, so again that’s a little predictable. I haven’t seen her with this white-painted skin before though…definitely original.

I Liked the Pre-Mariah Nick Cannon Better

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey are still one of the most bizarre couples in Hollywood. When the news first came out about their whirlwind marriage I was completely obsessed and thought it would last for maybe a few weeks…but it looks like they’re still together! Crazy!

Nick and Mariah attended a Halloween party on Oct 31 in matching angel costumes…and I have to say that Nick looks completely ridiculous! Mariah is Mariah and there is no surprise there…that’s pretty much what she wears regardless of the occasion. But Nick used to be such a confident cutie! Back in his Drumline days I was totally drooling, and now he just seems like a sad little puppy dog who is just along for the ride and still has no idea how he snagged this cougar.

Amy Winehouse Has One Pair of Shoes

Isn’t it crazy that Amy Winehouse has been in and out of the spotlight for a couple years now, but yet she always wear the exact same pair of satin ballet flats?? I would love to see her closet! Either there are 20 pairs of the exact same shoes or there is only one pair of old tattered shoes. These aren’t even real shoes! They look like house shoes or those foot socks that you wear under your real ballet flats.

I heard that she got a boob job (which unfortunately isn’t noticeable in this picture), but other than that nothing seems to have changed about her. She still wears the exaggerated eyeliner, doesn’t seem to be eating, and has crazy hair (is that a pigtail in the back??). I don’t even have any idea what the deal is with the glittery visor, but I’m guessing that it was an attempt to cover up her real hair since she seems to have left the house without her beehive wig.

Wow. Winehouse is still getting stranger everyday.

Katy Perry Looking Like One of Us

Well well well, what have we here?? Is that really glamour girl Katy Perry caught out in Hollywood sans red lipstick and old Hollywood waves? I would have to say that I would definitely not even recognize this young lady if I spotted her on the street without her total vintage style that she usually rocks.

I wouldn’t say that she looks bad…she just looks normal. Until now I thought she looked like a Vargas girl 24/7! I think I liked the idea that she was transported in a time machine to our era and brought her taste in fashion with her. But now I find that she wears fedoras, bikinis, and hippie tops just like Britney Spears…not as exciting.

I have been mildly fascinated by her relationship with British comedian Russell Brand. Is that Russell Brand with long dirty hair and skinny jeans that she is holding hands with?? Oh no…you are mistaken. That is actually his brother. Kiiiiiiiinda weird……I am eager to hear the full story on this one.
