Vanessa Williams In Slip ‘n Slide Couture

Hallelujah, dahlings! Guess what happened over the weekend that made my snarky self smile? Yep, the Screen Actors Guild Awards! And you know what that means? A red carpet! Ahhhh…I salivate at the possibilities.
So bear with me as I go a little crazy, because I have been waiting a loooong time for a red carpet event.
First up: The supremely gorgeous Vanessa Williams. It’s just too damn bad she didn’t choose a dress that was equally (or even remotely) as lovely. This frickin’ thing reminds me of a Slip ‘n Slide, does it not, dahlings? Not only that, but any time you pair black with yellow, I automatically make a run for my EpiPen for fear I’ll be attacked by a swarm of bees. Now yes, it’s true Miss W can definitely pull off the yellow color, but not with black accents or accessories. Yellow should never be paired with black accessories. Ever.
One last thing: In this day of self-tanners and spray tans, why in the hell is this woman sporting tan lines? Seriously. There is no excuse for such blatant disregard for even skin tone. And if she just came back from Cabo or something, bully for her, but at least wear something with straps, honey.
Okay, that felt great, dahlings. Long live Awards Shows, and let’s settle this Writer’s Strike already, eh?
