Victoria’s Secret adds 5 new Angels

Being an Angel at Victoria’s Secret has gotten a little easier, as this year, the company has added a whopping five new Angels to the roster for the annual fashion show. At one point there were only a few Angels, making the feat of being an Angel a greater ordeal, but this year, VS has decided that if you’re good enough for the world of high fashion, you’re good enough for them.

Chanel Iman, Emanuela de Paula, Lindsay Marie Ellingson, Candice Swanepoel, and Rosie Alice Huntington Whiteley round out the latest Angels to join Victoria’s Secret. While the Victoria’s Secret show could be an opportunity for a fun fashion fantasy moment, it’s campy factor has severely gone up in the past couple of years making it a show of models parading down the runway making kissy faces and smiling like idiots the entire way down the catwalk. And don’t get me wrong, I love a nice smile on a runway model, but it gets a little ridiculous when they’re doing it the entire time. At any rate, I, and the rest of the country, will be watching, just as we do every year.

Irinia wins Project Runway

Check out all three collections in the YouTube video below. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Irina’s collection (way too trendy), but overall, this season lacked for me, both in terms of creativity, challenges and drama. I mean, if they aren’t going to give us great artists, well, OK, I get that, but at least give us some catty characters with snarky remarks.

Still, season 7 of Project Runway is slated for January on Lifetime, which means the channel is milking this for all it’s worth. I’m not sure if Project Runway has jumped the shark or if it’s …read more
Kate Moss loves being skinny

Kate Moss, supermodel and resident bad-girl-gone-good is back to the headlines after a recent comment saying, “Nothing tastes better than being skinny.” This has caused an uproar due to the fact that many pro-anorexic women live by the same motto.
Moss was asked what her motto was at a recent press conference and said she had many, but chose to quote this one. While I don’t think Moss is solely to blame for pro-anorexic groups, but surely the woman could have come up with a better motto than that. Heck, a “Stay in school,” or “Don’t do drugs” would have been …read more

As if we didn’t get enough lashes, hair and drama during season 1 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. I love it because every time I read the title of the show, the theme song plays in my head and I hear Ru’s ridiculous laugh.

Not sure when the official date is, but I’ll keep my eye on logoonline.com for updates. If you did not keep up with the first season of this fantastic reality show, you are missing out. If you’re in the U.S., you can watch season 1 in its entirety on logoonline.com.

Need a job? If you’re in the LA area, and meet a few other requirements, you may be just the guy or gal Rachel Zoe is looking to hire. Rachel (or someone from her camp) posted a job ad at LinkedIn for a full-time associate with a mid-senior level position. Sound familiar?

I can’t be positive, but this sounds pretty close to the job that Taylor had just a few weeks ago. As opposed to branding for the Rachel Zoe collection on QVC, it seems this new hire will handle things related to The …read more
Lauren Conrad’s essential style tips

Reality starlet Lauren Conrad may not bicker with Speidi or shop with Lo anymore, but she’s definitely keeping busy with other things. Her best-selling book is being optioned for a film (yes, I find that as depressing as you do) and she’s also working on a line with Kohl’s department store.

While Lauren’s original fashion line, Lauren Conrad Collection did well in stores like Nordstrom’s and Fred Segal, I’m guessing LC quickly realized her demographic simply doesn’t have hundreds to shell out for a maxi dress they can snag at Forever 21 for 20 bucks. Still, we’re a fan …read more
Tim Gunn talks season 7 of Project Runway

Our favorite stylish man, Tim Gunn, recently sat down with the LA Times to discuss the latest season of Project Runway and life after. Season 7 will take us back to New York and apparently, the designers may be even more boring than this season as Tim says they “sashay back to the workroom.” Yikes.

How did Los Angeles differ from New York as a backdrop for show?
It was completely different. We had opportunities that we wouldn’t have in New York: The Emmy red carpet, that’s not going to happen here. We had our beach challenge.
And you wore flip-flops!

Heidi Klum new makeup at Victoria’s Secret

Just in time for the holiday season, Heidi Klum has launched a new set of shimmering makeup at Victoria’s Secret. While the lip products and glitter liner are expected and a bit of a snore, the eye shadows are the perfect blend of standout colors to make your eyes pop for holiday festivities. Instead of opting for the same ol’ black smoky eye, use colors like purple or teal to create a wearable, but special look. These are especially great if you plan on wearing a little black dress.

Get Taylor’s cross necklace at a discount

We all love Taylor’s amazing style on The Rachel Zoe Project. From her killer jackets to signature platinum hair, the girl’s got it going on in the style department. One of the mainstay accessories that Taylor wears regularly is her gold cross necklace that sits sideways on a thin gold chain.
Bravo Photo: Evans Ward
Taylor rocks the necklace with everything from a V-neck T-shirt to a Dolce & Gabbana dress. While I tracked down a cheaper version of the necklace last year, the real deal is now 15% off at roseark.com. Kathy Roseark recently made an appearance on E! News and …read more
Taylor talks about life after Rachel Zoe
November 15, 2009 by Samantha Cabrera

We heard last week via Twitter that the platinum, acid tongue Taylor was parting ways with Rachel Zoe after having worked together for four years. Anyone who keeps up with The Rachel Zoe Project knows there’s been serious tension in the studio over Taylor’s role at Camp Zoe. Taylor was unhappy on several occasions and it looked like the season finale was bringing a change in the Zoe family, as Rachel promoted Taylor to some position that would oversee branding for Rachel’s clothing and accessories line. Unfortunately, that never came to be, and Taylor either up and quit or was …read more
