Bravo debuts Launch My Line

OK, so we know the debut of Launch My Line, Bravo’s new fashion reality series is just around the corner. Come December 2nd, you’ll have a new fashion design series to settle into now that Project Runway is over and out (until January, at least). The premise of Launch My Line is a little different than Project Runway and Bravo’s other fashion reality series, The Fashion Show.

Instead of taking ripe, new talent, the show works with established designers and a “professional.” I figured this meant someone who has worked in fashion for a very long time, be it editor, writer, photographer or stylist. Upon further research there are folks like architects and choreographers on the show. While I understand that these people are definitely professionals, what exactly do they have to do with fashion?

Some of the other professionals include CEO Marilyn Crawford and businessman Kevin Black. This, I understand, because it makes sense that this designer learn the logistics of the business aspect of their collection and brand, but the architect and dancer?
