No power = no Style-Television for me!

Hurricane Ike came bearing down on the Texas Gulf Coast nearly two weeks ago, and tons of Houstonians are still without power. Yes, you read that correctly, nearly two weeks. It’s depressing, even amidst the flood and wind damage that paints the majority of the city.
As much as I make fun of Tyra, Heidi, and many other fashion reality show standbys, I have come to realize that mocking the contestants and hokey challenges on their shows is a true guilty pleasure of mind. Hours of reading Stephen King’s The Stand (probably not the book to turn to during an ends-of-times natural disaster!) has made me too serious for my own good, and I long for a four hour long Project Runway marathon, with Heidi arguing with Kenley, and Blayne making pointless (yet hilarious) banter with Stella. I miss Tyra and the J’s teaching the girls to walk, and I truly miss the catfights in the Top Model house. I know little Miss Hannah is gone, but did the race discussion ever come to a head?
Thankfully, there’s YouTube. Once I’m back in the comfort of my own home, blogging away for hours, I plan on kicking back and taking in the beauty that is good ol’ Style-Television.
