Celebrity Bargain Stylers : Angelina Jolie and Her Thrifty Dress

Style It Less is going to start a new category called Celebrity Bargain Stylers. I think the title is pretty much self-explanatory. From time to time, I will feature female celebrities wearing clothing items in bargain prices. Albeit it’s old news, who would be the best celebrity to lead this pack but Angelina Jolie herself? Last month at the NYC premiere of her new movie, “A Mighty Heart” the Hollywood and Fashion industries went a-buzzed over her vintage $26($28?) dress she(her stylist,heh) found at a Thrifty store in Los Angeles. I mean the way both industries made such a huge deal about it that if you blinked your eyes for a second you probably missed their heads doing a 360-degrees head turn ala Exorcist was ridiculous. No offense to the Hot Momma of Brad Pitt’s 4 kids(Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh), but fabulous Thrifty Mommies all over the world, including yours truly, has been styling in bargain prices for years. A $26 dress is really not news to us but since I’m writing about it here I guess it is. So I must digress

I’m not hatin’ on dear Angie, I loved her on GIA . And she looks absolutely stunning on this dress. I’m sure she didn’t anticipate all the bruhaha the Hollywood and Fashion industries alike showered on her thrifty vintage crushed velvet dress. I almost felt sorry for the Christian Louboutin heels she wore that night from being overshadowed by a bargain dress. OUCH! I wouldn’t blame the designer if he felt flummoxed over the whole thing himself, heh!
Wow, she is making a statement. LOL. She carried that dress off well I think but I am still not a big fan of hers. :/

Sometimes I wonder about her health… just because she has severe veins on her arms.
which is usually a sign of eating disorder. Long back in high school some of my friends had that and that’s when you can really tell.
True but as you age you can get that on your arms. I think most would be quick to jump to conclusions on her eating habits. It could possibly be a drug addiction.
